The cable he mentioned is female fakra to female fakra, you can get them on ebay for about 10-15 bux. We only supply them with shark fin aerial itself as its part of a set.

      A few questions:

      - Do you supply the VW OPS sensors?
      - Which version of the RNS510 would you recommend for a MY10 Golf GTI?
      - Who is your installer of choice in Adelaide?

      Cheers

The OPS sensors are quite a labour demanding to install and I doubt that you will find the VAG specialist shop that would be too keen to install them and trying the Autobarn and similar is something I wouldn't do, if the car was mine. Do you have a quote from the dealer? (You can PM me, if you don't want to answer here).

I've bought the fr+re OPS kit, to complete OPS in my son's in law RS Octavia (came with the rear ones only) and I still didn't have enough time to fit them.

Tempted by the badge reverse camera. How much will your fitter in Balwyn charge just for fitting the camera?

          Thanks.

            Hi mate,

We do OPS but as Transporter noted its a hard installation.

WE have just purchased special VW tool which makes it a bit easier.

I will email Transporter with the solution

RNS 510 I would go D for 2010 or H if you want something fancy.

We cooperate with Transporter in SA

            Sorry for late reply

              Hi Orkers,

The guy in Caringbah, South Sydney is not a fan of Badge camera installs. You would have to go to North Paramatta and they charge $350 and it takes 4-5 hours to install it

Hmmm, bit of a drive from Melbourne to North Paramatta for the install. Maybe I'll try and find someone in Melbourne....

Just wondering - can you do a badge RVC install in Adelaide, or maybe Transporter, can you do this?

Also, I'm getting the bluetooth module installed (the dealer was running late, supposed to be done pre delivery) for a 2011 plate Golf. With the different versions of the RNS 510 is there any additional cabling needed for the Bluetooth and voice commands on the RNS to work? I think I saw a thread where some cable was needed so a mic can connect to both the Bluetooth and RNS 510.

Btw, which version of the RNS 510 do you recommend for a 2011 Golf? Always happy to go with the most feature rich!

                  Thanks!!

                    Hi mate,

I am sure transporter can help on RVC install. Bluetooth 9w7 normally works straight away on a Golf with voice control.
For 2011 Golf you can go for F at 1200 or H (made June 2012) at 1250. Both have the same functions but H would be slightly faster

For WC members we offer free courier postage and all units come with 12 months warranty

I am interested in the RNS 510 sat nav for MY13 golf 118 tsi. Wondering if I need H or a previous version would still do the job. Don't have any issues with the previous one installed on a passat my10 wagon.

                          Hi mate,

Any version will work with new golf, but F and H will operate voice control. F production is end 11 beginning 12 and all the Hs we have are made no earlier than June 2012 at the moment.

Wow! The latest RNS510s made in June 2012. That's certainly safer than buying from overseas and hold the breath until that PIN goes in and the unit works.

All our units come with Security Code on VW Security Radio Card and 12 months warranty.

Our newest batch this week comes made end of July / beginning of August and HW version 70

This is the same for a few Skoda Columbus units we have.

We need a reliable installer in Perth - can provide plenty of work to someone who is interested.
