Yes sorry about the confusion. Mirroring is used often these days to refer to this type of function but it's easy to get it mixed up with Mirrorlink.

If you have an Android phone with office apps installed its entirely possible to view your spreadsheets on the new Audiosources unit. Of course the link is via the micro USB slot so you'd have to remember to connect your phone when you get into the car.

    • Thanks. You can mark me down for one of the first units. I'm sold.

      • Hi all,

I registered here only because of this thread. Thanks to DkN for sharing his knowledge here so actively.

I got tired of waiting for the new models and ordered an ANS610 directly from Audiosources as it was the only way to get one in Finland. I got the unit on Tuesday and its already installed too. Otherwise the unit works just fine but there are a few software (M99 version) issues:

        1. RADIO hard button does not scroll through FM1, FM2, FM3, AM which is quite annoying.

        2. Radio station memory place selection does not work perfectly. When choosing any station between 2 and 6 the display usually returns to 1 and stays at selected place only after 2nd press.

        3. MP3 files on SD card do not appear in correct order. I have files listed in folders artist\album\ as "01. song name.mp3", "02. song name.mp3" and so on like they were on original CD but on ANS they do not appear in that same order.

        4. The door cue car picture does not follow car setting.

Any chance these could get fixed in future updates?

Otherwise I love my new toy. Radio reception is quite good with amplified double fakra adapter. The navigation (iGo Primo 2.4) works very well and the GPS signal is very good even having the antenna inside the dashboard. Thanks to this forum I did pack the extra cable in figure 8.

        Edit:
Has anyone modified the connections to get car's original AUX IN to work? The cables are there on the Quadlock accessory connector but all the available quadlock adapters are going the wrong way, i.e. they have male 12pin quadlock and female RCA for example. For ANS one would need quadlock female to RCA male though. Of course I could cut the cable and solder it back together but it is a company car and I need to be able to put the original RCD310 back at some point.

        • Hi Hans

I have reported the FM issue to Audiosources for a couple of month ago - so i relay hop that is is solved in the next firmware releas.
If you turn off the RDS function the problem disappears.

Turning off the RDS is the answer. It is only of use where you have all radio stations on a particular network using the same descriptive name. If the signal from the frequency being used drops, the system searches for the next available frequency that has the same name. In Australia, this is of no help as each station has its own name and in many cases no name, so if you are is a spot where the signal drops, it goes hunting and ends up on station 1 in a particular band.

            • It still sounds like a bug rather than a feature. Based on my quite limited total driving time with the new unit the RDS itself works just fine and it is indeed useful feature as the same stations with same names are available on different frequencies around the country here. The receiver also works quite well with the antenna adapter/amplifier as it finds several frequencies for each station easily and I have not really experienced any static. Anyway this one is not that much of a problem.

What I really dont't like is that changing from FM1 to FM2 and FM3 has to be done through pressing first Band and then FM and then the same again and again on touch screen while there is this RADIO hard button, which according to user manual scrolls through FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM if pressed repeatedly. Only that it does not.

Yes and no. The bug is that if it cannot find another station with the same name, it should go back to the frequency it was on rather than dropping to the no 1 preset on the band.

                • I wanted to give an update on my reverse camera issue. As you recall, I have an ANS-810 and bought a boot handle reverse camera off Aliexpress. I initially connected the camera directly to the right rear reverse light power line. It didn't work. After consultation here, I re-wired the set-up to use a relay and now the camera is wired to get power derived from the rear 12V power outlet which I spliced into. I still don't have any reverse camera activity. I also don't have any power to my right rear reverse light. This happened prior to the rewiring to use the relay.

I'd like to determine which fuse is responsible for the right rear reverse light. This would be for a US vehicle. Also, here is a crude drawing showing how I wired the relay. I think this is fine but want to make sure I haven't done anything wrong. I do think something has happened to the OEM power feed line to the rear reverse light since it doesn't have any voltage going to it when I place the vehicle in reverse (confirmed with multimeter). Any thoughts would be appreciated.

                    • I would have run Ground off the relay to a body bolt to be absolutely sure as sometimes the brown wire could go across to the other side light and from there to ground

                      • the relay is probably fine to go across the light ( brown& blue, only if the light drops sufficient load across it in operation), but the camera should probably go to the body for ground, in case there is some other funky monitoring stuff going on in that brown wire.

                        • I'll move the relay and camera grounds to a body bolt tomorrow (already night here) and report back. The rear light plastic housing has some bolts attaching them to the body if I recall from my working through the little panel inside the car. Would this suffice as a site for grounding?

                          • scratch a bit of paint off so the wire is contacting bare metal.

Try and get a bolt that goes through metal and into metal Going through plastic its hard to get it tight enough to get a perfect contact.
Also you want one that you arent going to remove again anytime soon
