This unit is now in my hands. I'll report back whatever I can by the end of the week.

Let me know if you want the diagnostics cable. Just need a bench 12v power supply.

I presume the diagnostics cable different to a VAGCOM cable?

No, it's a different cable and the software to VCDS.

The cable plugs directly into the rns510 media port. It needs to be on a bench with 12v power.
Software is locked to the cable like vcds.

                      Hi Benough,

                      Any luck with your RNS510.

As of last night I have the same problem on my wife's Tig. The faulty unit is now also out of the Tig and I am going to try it in my Jetta (wife & I both have dubs with the same RNS-510 setup).

Pretry sure I am waisting my time.

                        Nah dude, it's dead.

I can get a new motherboard for it, shipped for $200 AUD.

Will post up when I get it, unless you want to purchase one yourself, I can give you the contact.

Oh Bugger! I was hoping there was a happy ending.

Based on your reply I will be returning mine to Harding Performance to see what they can do. It has been less than a year since they installed it in the Tig so hopfully they will cover it under some sort of warrantee.

If they find a solution that does not involve a new mobo, I will let you know.
