So which is the one to get? Version C LED or D?

The increased HDD space of version D is a non-event for me.

Well I've just purchased the Version C LED, so I don't want to hear anyone say the Version D is the one to go for

You must have had yours couriered. Mine was by normal post. Value was around $800 so I guess I was just a victim of a 'random' inspection.

Agreed, 30 GB is plenty for me. So question is, is there any other advantage to version D?

I have read somewhere that its faster access when you press buttons and call up albums......Is this a big deal, whats the C like for this? Fine I am sure right?

Thinking I will go option C with LED....

I chose the D because it was only 100$ or so more than the C, and it came with the latest firmware, and production date, so i assumed newer is better. and for the price why not?
I think as long as you go LED you are fine.

                  Hi All.
Just a quick question about making the move from the RCD to the RNS.
Just wondering what most people are doing with their RCD unit once the RNS is in?
Are people finding the unit easy to move? Price, etc?
                  Thanks fellas.

Don't think it'll be a problem selling it. It's a good upgrade from the RCD310 and there is quite a big price gap between the RCD510 and RNS510, IMO. Price it well (probably between $300-350) and you shouldn't have a problem selling it.

Check the classified section out (post it on WTS!)

                      Thanks for the reply mate.

Currently in the process of working out a price with the seller in Lithuania.
Once he and I have settled on a price I'll get in touch with my local dealer to see what kind of damage I'll be looking at to have everything coded.
Looking forward to getting the unit in and setup.

If dealer install is more than $299 DON'T DO IT! Honestly, it really is very easy, so if the price is more than the purchase price of a VAG-COM cable you are better off doing it yourself and getting a useful tool as part of the process IMHO.

So spoke to my dealer this afternoon, they're asking $150 with a loan car. Seems pretty good to me, so looks like the unit will be in sooner rather than later.

Well for $150 it's a pretty good deal I guess. Still, for an extra $150 you could have a lot of fun with a VCDS cable

Still considering that VCDS cable. I've also been looking at the LED Tails, so the cable could come in handy...
