Restart the rns510 with three button reboot and with firmware cd in the slot

But when i install SSD. Media is blocked. I use the firmware 5274 but my rns510 does not recognise. My factory firmware is 4120. If i tried with firmware 4120 it’s works ?

You need to use a factory firmware cd to reload firmware and format the new hdd

I tried the tuto, but I create a clone of my HDD to the SSD with Acronis true image
My RNS510 no recognise my SSD, media is blocked " starting in progress (in french)" and the navigation does not work
If i install the origin HDD, everything works again

Help me please !

The software needs the cable. It is licensed and protected by a key and serial number.
You can see if Josi has any left it is not free software.

Yes I have Setconfig and it is very useful...as long as I have the unit on my bench.

I see USB connexion is made via UART interface of the RNS .

With all this effort maybe consider just replacing it with an rcd330
