As far as I know the differences are the newer maps, and I think it is supposed to do voice recognition on destination entry on cars with voice-activated RNS510s, but that one I am not 100% certain of.

Would be nice if it stated the proper roadnames (including local streets) not just a State route that most people wouldnt be familiar with.Originally posted by Swallowtail View Post"Turn right onto the S10..."
Although i can easily live without it, and other systems i've heard with text to speech in my after market setup sounded like the girl had a speech impediment.

Maybe they should investigate the price of the Audi Sat Nav at $5500? What about the wheel upgrade @ $1200? Leather Seats at $3300, I could buy a herd of cows for that, skin them and sew them to my seat and have dinner for the rest of the year! Whilst we're at it what about the price of a Ferrari (after all it's just a car with 4 wheels).Originally posted by mickofoz View PostSounds like v3 can't do any more v2 can do. I am so kicking myself for opting for the RNS510. The ACCC should investigate the price VW are charging for this thing. I know it's more than a SatNav, but geeezzz.
No-one is forcing you to buy it, if you don't like the price buy something else. It's a free market and you're free to buy the car of your choosing with the options you choose, you do however have to pay the price that they set for them.website: www.my-gti.com
