VCDS For 6R Polo (primarily GTI)

My new MY13 GTI (build date 13 Dec 2012) arrived at my local Christchurch dealership for PDI today. I collect it on Friday . I asked my dealer to tweak 3 VCDS settings prior to delivery: lane change indicator blinks to be increased from 3 to 4; instrument "staging" to be enabled; and audible locking/unlocking to be enabled.

They succeeded with the audible locking, but told me that the option for indicators are either on and fixed at 3 blink or the feature can be turned off. They also told me that staging is not possible at all on the Polo, including the GTI.

I'm sure the indicators can be tweaked, but less sure about instrument staging. Any thoughts?

MY 2010 has had the blinks changed but the audible locking didnt work and I never worry about staging. Just for posing IMHO

Hi everyone. I just received my polo gti R12.5 and was wondering what was the auto-lock/ unlock code via VCDS?

Does anyone know the answer to this question? My dealer has enabled the auto-lock, but say there's no unlock option. And my attempts to find an unlock VCDS has come up zilch.

Central Electronics Control Unit (09)
Byte 0
Bit 3 Auto-Unlock (Unlocking When Removing the Ignition Key)
Bit 4 Auto-Lock (Automatic Locking above 15km/h)
Bit 5 Central Locking Installed

Check all of these & you'll have auto lock & unlock active.

It seems like the steering weighting interface has been changed on the VCDS 11.11. Only single digit now. ANy ideas?

Yeah the single digit determines the feel, the 2nd tells it what steering rack you have

I get it now, thanks! Still trying to deactivate the ASR below 30km/h. The channel works on Golf do not work on Polo

Right then, I figured out how to change the number of comfort indicator blinks on my MY13 6R GTI. I find the default option of 3 is just one blink too few. There was no simple option available to me, so I thought I'd share the steps I had to follow, in case anyone else wants to make the same change.

1. Go into the 09-Cent. Elect. section:



2. Go into Adaptation - 10:



3. Select Channel 43, where you should find a default setting of 3. Enter a new value of whatever number of blinks you want (I chose 4), click Save, then Done.



Turn your ignition off then on again and test. Worked for me .

Does anyone have a list of what the new single digit options map to? Is it a logical increase/decrease or not in a particular order?

ie if it's set to 3, do I change it to 4 for more weight?

over this weekend ive manage on my polo gti my13 to:-
remove stupid bluetooth thingy
turn on auto lock/unlock
change indicators to 4 flashes
brakes to hard setting
changed xds setting
and finally got the needle celebration to work

lunchy, I can confirm that MY13's can do this, but ours (my12.5) cannot.

Exact same method was used, refer to my post in the Polo 6R section. Shattered as!

I understood most of them but have no idea where they are exactly in the VCDS

Surely there are hundreds more!
