  • What mod first???

    Hi Guys,

So, I've had my GTi for a week now, and I'm itchin to get the mods going, but I am torn.
It is stock as a rock, and super clean. 60k on the clock.

What would you do first, and is there a method to why?
    • CAI
    • Tune
    • Exhaust - cat back - I'm leaning towards this as the sound will keep me happy for a while

Other than the engine mods, I am going to lower it on 19s.

Is there a short shifter kit on the market?

    Cheers,
    Hog

Don't mess about go straight to stage 2. Get a downpipe in and do the catback later.
Bound to be a quickshift somewhere, maybe forge have one?

The CAI is simple enough to do in your driveway, prices can be up there.
If it's a manual get the Diesel Geek short shifter. Brilliant piece of kit and makes a world of difference to the feel.

ECU tune really is the best bang for buck as it's something you will notice and appreciate forever. As Gavin said, price up a stage 2 vs stage 1 and consider the jump upfront.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
