    ahh yes of course, and it would depend on load and throttle position too.

    the torque limit you mention before, would a stage 1 map hit that limit? people are doing stage 2 ECU tunes and still not hitting that limit. could be a false positive?

      Update so far. Emailed superchips and they immediately sent a new file. This one Is much better, low down now feels responsive with plenty of pull all the way with just a minor flat spot around 3500rpm. The only still worrying thing is now and again when I need plenty of power and put my foot down there is a small shudder like there is not enough fuel to make the power. This is only now and again and mainly in 3rd gear and above. The lack of power is like when you have a bad o2 sensor but it only lasts for a second and then the power comes in. Off to get some data logging done just to make sure the car is ok for my own piece of mind.
      More updates to come.
      Ps any idea how the bluefin works as a data logger?

        did you have your traction control on or off? if on, that would be the traction system interfering (for safety vw says?).

        i doubt the bluefin unit can work as a data logger, if yes then i would have used mine often, but i could be wrong

        i am on bluefin stage 2 (older file) for almost 2 years / 20,000km now and it has been fine. plus superchips uk does get back pretty quick when you contact them for a new file (during uk daytime).

            Superchips Bluefin

            Is your engine misfiring perhaps? Might need new ignition coils. How many km has your car travelled?

            The stock fuel pump on the current Mk6 GTI is more than capable of supplying the fuel you need, so unless the pump has an intermittent problem then that wont be it.

            Have you used the Bluefin unit to scan the ECU for any fault codes?

              I've got a max scan Nd no faults found. Just had the car serviced before the bluefin with coils, plugs, fuel filter. The only extras I have on the bluefin are immobilize. It doesn't feel like a misfire just a pause in power. If the traction control in kicking in I think I should see the yellow car flash on the dash. Car is 3 years old. Plus these power losses are mainly in a higher gear moving quickly so wheels shouldn't want to spin???
              I'll keep you all posted.

                If the new tune from Superchips has made an improvement, I'd try that asking for another revision to see if it makes it even better. Superchips is known to provide good support with regards to tune revisions, but it does make me wonder a little...

                Nevertheless, as your setup should be off-the-shelf, if the new revised tune has partially masked a mechanical problem that's not a good approach either.

                When logging data, log the following:

                * Engine RPM
                * Requested Pressure
                * Actual Pressure
                * Ignition Timing
                * Lambda Ratio/Reading

                Make sure to hit turbo mode so the sample rate is fast. Then shoot the logs across to someone who can have a read and give you some advice based on it; happy for you to send it to me to have a look.

                  Thank you mate for the advice. Hopefully getting the logs done today by another forum member who lives close.

                    Just done a system readiness test with my max scan and everything passes except 'evap sys' don't know how accurate these things are? Still no fault codes.

                      Update. Just had some data logs done my new best mate Gavin at Custom Code. Very clever chap and so willing to help. Car runs fine. There were some little glitches with the air flow but all I can do now is show superchips and see what they say. Once again thanks to Gavin for his time, very much appreciated and will get them vag com tweaks later once this issue is sorted out. Cheers.

                          sounds 'a little' similar to my situation

                          put a bluefin stage 1 tune onto my MKV GTI and after about 2.5-5k km the following symptoms suddenly happened:

                          - revs continue to climb/jump rather than dropping when engaging clutch to change gears
                          - cruise control doesnt work
                          - surges up to around 3000rpm
                          - very rough & jerky through the rev change and gear changes

                          Problem is even after returning to stock, all symptoms still exist. Have had clutch switch & throttle body replaced which did not fix the issue.

                          Contacted Bluefin who said since the problem still exists after returning to stock, they don't believe it is tune related.

                          Currently testing the ECU for a possible ECU issue which I hope it is not :s

                                Quick update. Sent Superchips the logs and they immediatly sent a new tune back with the explanation that they had altered the tune but the lambda sesor readings were a little off, maybe this is why i am getting the flat spot sometimes. Anyway, drove to work today and so far so good but they say they may have only masked the problem and it may come back as the part deteriates more. Just think i am going to stick a new O2 sensor on anyway just for safe measures.

                                I'll you all up dated if things change.
