  • Dyno - GTI mk6 Stage 3

    Just had my GTI on the dyno at HP over the weekend, at the polo day

    Car is an APR stage 3

    Made 262.55kw atw and 537.07Nm at 3495 rpm

    Guy and James have made one awesome car

    Cheers Pat

      ^ Too much power for a K04 - this must be a GT28 turbo surely?

      About 220kw and 450nm is the limit for the K04 unless the dyno was being very generous.

      Excellent result none the less. The car must fly once you get grip!!

            Happy dyno going by other results I've seen.

            Nothing wrong with that. Just reinforces that you can't compare results from 2 separate dynos.

                Not a hater at all. Compared to other results on the same day it is a very strong result. And something to be pretty happy with.

                Just saying you can't compare results from one dyno to another. Some over read, some under read.

                Always has to be one person without a frigging clue.

                  I believe the Dyno is a hub Dyno. So that will add a few extra Kw

                    Even more so then and would explain the substantially higher figures.

                    When you are getting 30kw+ above what others are getting people are bound to ask questions.

                          Not a happy dyno at all when you put the back to back figures into perspective

                          Please note that the results are all uncorrected at the hub figures. These are not flywheel figures. This was not a wheel dyno either so no excuses for strapdown procedures or wheelpressures ..... All runs were conducted in 4th gear.

                          For information on the Dynapack chassis dyno please see here: Dynapack Arguably the most accurate dyno setup in Brisbane at the moment.

                          Mods (main components only) indicated here as follows:
                          Stock = well stock .....
                          Stg1 = ECU only
                          Stg1+ = ECU + intake
                          Stg2- = ECU + intake + exhaust or Intercooler upgrade
                          Stg2 = ECU + intake + exhaust + Intercooler upgrade
                          Stg2+ = ECU + intake + exhaust + Intercooler upgrade + Fuelling etc
                          Stg3 = ECU + intake + exhaust + Intercooler upgrade + turbo upgrade

                          In the Polo 9N3 Section there will be a full spec list of the GTI Polo's that ran.

                            Hub dyno on the Polo's read on average 10kw more than a wheel dyno based on comparing to a number of previous dyno runs for the Polos.
