Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Any feedback on CTS Turbo goodies

Does anybody have anything to comment on the quality or lack thereof of CTS Turbo components? ie downpipes, res deletes etc.
Any feedback would be appreciated, good or bad.

Had a CTS catback exhaust on my Mk6 GTI. Was a nicely made exhaust and sounded good. Good quality for the price IMO.

Personally Unitronic/NeuSpeed etc are a better quality, but also more expensive.

      Thanks

ECS Tuning has the CTS res delete for the R for USD$200 including shipping at the moment .... CTS - CTS-EXH-TP-0007 - CTS Resonator Delete Kit

Might pull the trigger on that this weekend, says it doesn't add drone, but lots of reviews of res deletes (not any specific brand) on the R says it does. If it does SWMBO will hear it and I'll be in trouble

Its just a piece of pipe - cant go wrong. Although you can buy these locally and avoid the ridiculous ECS shipping fees. I know Underground Performance sells these res deletes.
