Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Please don't wreck it! it happens too often! If you can keep it for a few months i may well jump in the caddy and hook up the trailer and come and buy it.

Seems to be a -ehem- small gap between your new guard and the front of the door...

Ok, fair enough. well if it goes then that's bad luck i guess. just seems a shame to scrap a good 2 door shell.

                  very true,
it's not something josh or I take joy in, I'd love to keep it as an ebay special track beater, or rat beater, but I have two cars, and not enough money for 3!

besides, the parts will live on in other cars, so good will come from it.

oh and if anyone needs any rust repair bits, panels, sections etc tell us now so we can cut bits out and what not.

Someone with lots of money needs to go buy a huge warehouse somewhere so everyone can go put all their Mk1 stuff they don't need anymore. Then people could come and buy the parts from them as they needed them and it would pay for itself somewhat.

That way it would all be in one place and everyone could benefit.

Who's got a rich, impressionable (and not very bright) Uncle?
