Just posted the 20vT harness off to Quantum Perfomance Engineering in the UK for modification this morning.
It will come back ready to go with the Plug n Play kit/ecu, a specially made downpipe for this conversion and throttle for about $2400 landed at my door.
Cant wait!!

Hey-yo.
Me and Joe (mainly joe actually as i was too busy taking pics) at Golfwagen started stripping the damaged parts from the 20vt.
the sump obviously damaged
and the oil filter bracket and cooler too. The threaded union bent and pulled the thread in the mounting
Heres the big crack and bent bolts of the oil pump!!

Obviously a few parts need to be replaced but i already got a new sump at least.
The rest of the damage was a bit of a surprise but thats what happens when you buy a pretty trashed wreck! I was half expecting some more probs so i'm not too bummed... yet.
So basically i need to order a new oil filter/cooler bracket with the threaded union, an oil return pipe from the sump to the turbo, a gasket or two and the other bits were in stock 2nd hand at Golfwagen. Oh also need to repair the 120v alternator.

The plastic back of the alternator was busted up and one of the electrodes was attached the the busted bit!?
As for Joe's blue mk3 2.0L... i think now he's decided a mk1 shell would be better so he's gonna take the motor back out and prolly wreck the mk3 body for parts?

You should have told me you needed an oil return line cause I just ordered that along with the rest of the stuff I need for my conversion. Actually on second thoughts, if you want I might be able to get ECS to add it to my order cause my LSD is on back order...

Here's a list of the parts i need to replace due to damage but dont have available 2nd hand:
Oil filter bracket 06A 115 405 B = $227
threaded union for oil filter 028 115 721 = $138
Oil return line 06A 145 735 A = $104
These are trade prices obviously coz i'm an Audi employee but there still total crap!
