Yep, that bronze corolla was quick. sounded like a twin cam, with some serious work, one of the quicker cars there.

There was also a 540HP supra running 14psi of boost, ripping some quick times. It really flew on the straights.

There were a couple of quick torries, and the twin cam escorts were also spritly. Highlight of the day was the mini's though. had wel over half a dozen there, and they looked great, sounded great, and went like the clappers!

Great way to spend a day, although unfortunately we couldn't see too many twisty bits (cause we were on the straight) and it was freezing cold! that was the worst part.

              I wouldn't worry about that.

I'm a big fan of the fact that you are building a good starter car and aren't going out trying to set the world on fire and impress people.

At the end of the day, being able to admit your flaws means you can work on them and improve.

You're doing this for you and you'll get better with practice. So good stuff.

Judging by the picture it does look like he's taking the wrong line but if the picture showed what was before and after you'd see thats a decent line to be taking there.

Glad to see you had a great time Pete, was going to come along but was a little too....indisposed

                        Hhhahhah

I'm sure Pete took a few wrong lines during the day! Not to worry, he wasn't the only one!

Probably only about a dozen odd cars were actually taking the correct lines, all the time, the rest, were on and off. but who care's. not racing for sheep stations after all...

Yeah I know u meant ur dads, but I still think that corolla IIRC has a worked 2l twin cam on boddies or carbs and remember it being pretty bloody quick at the island.

Well it was pretty quick at sandown. Didn't get a look under the bonnet, but it had lots of camber and heaps of stickers on it, so it must have been quick!

Ill have to pick u up on that one Too much camber and when you brake thefront wheels camber up even more so thats why you need a compremise between the 2 thats goes round corners hard and still haas enough rubber on the road for good braking... So 2.5 dgrees is about right
