Tip: You were taking the wrong line onto the straight. It's faster to head straight for the apex of the kink once your car is settled out of the last corner.
Well apparently anyway. Thats what Oscar Fiorinotto told Ben to do in no uncertain terms in the supercar.
The car behaved itself, although I still can't find that missing torque. I've got the point where I'm thinking this is good as it gets for this motor.
The motor runs perfectly well it just isnt very powerful.
The lack of top end speed made me about the slowest thing on the track, but I got to have a good look at the scenery whilst ambling down the straights.
Best speed I got out of the thing was a tad over 95 MPH. Lap times were fairly consistent around the 1:55 - 2:00 minute mark. (The majority of the field was doing around 1:40 or so)
Water temp was well under control with the new radiator and hoses.
Oil temp approached 100 degrees, that oil cooler was working overtime.
Oil pressure seems to be down a bit low to me even with the Fuchs oil. I might pop in a new pump just to be safe.
I felt I was getting faster through the day, my lines were certainly improving, not too many anxious moments this time.
Brakes and tyres did their thing well, no signs of fade. I did lock the front left a few times headed into turn 1 a bit hot.
Need to practice my trail braking to turn the car, I got it right a few times but I need more track time to figure it out.
All in all a great day. I'm pretty stiff from the exertion and the bitingly cold winds today but it was all well worth it. WHen's the next event?

Great shots so far, Pete. How was the car?
Most people were even wider than that on that last corner, there's not a lot of real estate to play with .
I was aiming for the line that let me carry the most revs, my best speeds down the straight were when I could exit this corner at redline.
I probably could have taken a better approach to that bend, I'm still figuring things out.
