Hi Adzy, I saw your last round the block on a wet day clip, but this one certainly demonstrates fantastic driving and a very quick Golf. Well done. Iam interested to know what camera you used and how it was mounted?

Cheers for the kind words mate :p My camera is a Cannon Legria HFS-10 HD and the mount atatches to the head rest mounts and is fully adjustable. The mount is a Hague head rest mount, will tell u where I ordered it from when I get home if u want?

adzy, great vids of your track day !! Nice gather after passing the muppet !! LOL love the ending to your session 2 vid. Had a good laugh !!
Don't know how I would go though. I think I'd get white line fever.

Couldn't figure out how agressive you were engine breaking on the vid. Was there alot down the gears? I'm using your vids as a kinda educational driving tool so when the day comes and I grow my balls I will have a small idea what the track looks like and the lines you take when cornering sandown.

Maybe while waiting for my balls to grow I might come down one day and be a spectator.
Golf R, Rising Blue, 5 Door, DSG and some extra fruit.
          Viagra on 4 wheels !!

Lol cheers rob, I could have slapped that old bugger for the way he drove! Sandown is pretty basic as most of the corners are 90° so no real technical lines are required. You should be fine mate u gotta get out there u will love it. Just make sure u are smooth with all your driving inputs, dont jerk the steering wheel, squeeze the brake pedal dont stomp on it and when turning in slowly release brake preasure instead of just jumping off them. Dont be scared to floor the braked pedal too and always look through the corners to the exit point, best thing is practise and experience bro.
Some drive days have instructors present who can jump in with u and give u great advise. Your balls should be well up to it mate
Oh and with the DSG question, I use manual mode so that it is always in the gear I want and so that I get gear down in higher revs than sport mode, the engine nraking helps with front end traction on corner entry due to the increased engine braking force.. sport mode is a bit to lazy when going for it on track IMO.
Get out there rob u will love it!

I'm sure I will, just gotta take the first step. I probably will need to buy a set of 18's and fit semi's before running a track day.

                      Nice vids Adzy.
                      These are with Oneal Events?
                      What is the price, etc?

I'm guessing it is not times and no CAMS is required?

You seem to have a MUCH, MUCH better selection of cars than the Driver Dynamic days and I would prefer to be running with that bunch of cars than the WRX club.

Wouldn't mind teeing up for some days with you boys.

I much prefer Winton, Sandown isn't very technical it makes your driving become lazy

Winton is really quite good (better with the short track). Have you made it to the Island, Guy? That sets the standard for racetrack in Australia IME.
