The ET isnt too shabby. AWD helping out a lot there.
Trap speed isnt overly exciting though. Tuned GTIs are trapping similar. Time to upgrade to stage 2+

Tuned GTIs which are manual or DSG?
Looking back in this thread, the trap time I posted is the quickest so far. I'm not educated enough to grasp the concept enough yet, but I believe that in the trap time, the manuals have the advantage, but then the DSG's gain some back when it comes time to shift.
But yes, Stage II+ (downpipe, fuelpump and intercooler) is being installed Monday, so tonight was my last chance to do this Stage I.
Unfortunately I only got 1 good run before it started to rain. I did 3 runs in total, but had a "interesting time" trying to get the DSG to let me rev from the line. If I held down the ESP button during pre-stage, the "rolling 1 foot" to staging would then stop me from being able to rev for the launch.... so my 2nd run was from idle, and my 3rd was from 2000rpm - boooo. The R "limits" you to 3000rpm, but I've found if you do a single rev, you can get it to 3500rpm prior to it "leveling out". I'll have to practise that more before going again

DSG I believe. Youre not looking close enough. I think the fastest ET I ever saw on a k03 powered mk5 GTI was a 13.7 or there abouts. Really hard to launch them right though.
yep the trap speed is the speed your car is travelling when it finishes the 1/4.
Everyone always bangs on about the mph because its probably the most true way of equating how much power a car is making.
Yes, my very first 1/4 mile run EVER (like seriously... I didn't even know WSID wasn't the main straight of Eastern Creek until getting there this afternoon!).
time, mph, 60ft, car, engine, mods, weight if known, tyres, username

I only made 3 passes.. And launched soft.
The car made a total of 17 passes over the weekend, with Tim using the 2-Step and giving the thing a real hard time. Car was consistent and didn't break a thing.
The car's previous best was 8.95@80.53 2.223 60ft.
