That makes a bit more sense. None the less, awesome time and mph

    Well done!

Thanks , yep will be there . Ive only ever missed one year .
Im finding the limitations of the hardware and no its not the turbo . To overcome this Im gonna have to add a little weight

Seb any other "components" removed from the car to shed weight on Saturday?

Yes, he has.... The left scrutineering lane at WSID has a weighbridge.

It does matter mate, "quick" is a combo of power/weight.... the car is DSG so really anyone should be able to run the same number in your car.

                  Seats and exhaust .
At the end of the day the weight loss on the car is no vodoo magic . It takes me 30 min to remove and 40 min to fit it back .

Well anyone can remove exhaust and seats out of their car . I want to see anyone come close to my times . BTW I feel there is more to it as well , 11.5s with stock turbo is my goal .

                    • Do you exit the exhaust out the side, or just leave the downpipe to exit in the tunnel? I want to try this on our Golf R too.

                        • I suppose nothing should catch fire in there for a few runs......

                          • Just did a run in my 1999 mk4 gti 1.8t, only mod being 2.5" 42dd catback exhaust.
Managed a 16.545 1/4mile time, which seems pretty good for the stock 110kw
getting a viezu motorsport tune and will re-run.

                            • Well done Ryan, no doubt a tune will help a bit!

In all seriousness, all tuner war rubbish aside, can someone please explain how the Viezu Golf R at Hot Tuner ran a 13.2 with only 168 odd kw yet recorded a 116.8mph ( 188kph ) trap?? I can't make sense of this figure, seems all wrong. I'm not looking to brag about what Viezu can do, I've obviously made my camp and am happy with that, just the cold hard facts don't add up to me....

                              • The only thing ive seen cause inflated trap speeds is wheelspinning half the track. I cant imagine that would be the case with an awd car though.
