Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

      Awesome. Cheers for the heads up! Fuel guage seems to be getting worse: it died again on the way to work this morning. At this stage I can live with it: it seems to come good after the car has sat turned off for a while: I.e. It's working again now I'm on my way home...

        Managed to find some DSG paddle extensions that fit the mk3 from eBay:

        Excuse the pic quality, it was inside the garage.

        Happy with the result, the maniacs ones would fit as well I guess but the price was a bit steep for the benefit it provides.

                  Odd that it's similar to the Mk6, when the Mk3 octavia is MQB platform, just like the Mk7 golf? (i.e. it should be the same as a mk7 golf)

                    I followed the same reasoning, and now have some Mk7 ones sitting on the shelf . The Mk7 are a flatter design, and squarer, and don't have the curve towards the bottom of the paddle.

                            Other than just monitoring can this thing change VCDS codes easily for you? For instance, activate cornering fog lights?

                                Just ordered my OBDeleven as well...$80 delivered small price to get rid off start-stop, activate traffic and hopefully in future adjust soundaktor level which they're currently working on.
