Anyone looked into upgrading their HDD for jukebox? I cant seem to find anything as yet which is odd. Would have thought that it would be a common upgrade

I looked into doing it, then promptly forgot it. Activated the traffic but at the time we had trouble getting the boot button inside and the keyfob to work so gave up.

It will be 2 years in October. Bummer with your scratch , I know how you feel. On the first day I drove mine, the front bumper sustained some paint damage and a dent from a rock propelled by a truck in front.

On the bright side, at least I'll have a shiny new lower front end

I did the RS colour pinstripes on the grill today. Nice little break up of colour. I had seen a few people had done it to their skoda's and I liked the look.

I noticed that my glove box light was not working and was never working since I bought my RS, so took it in to Artarmon Skoda to get it fixed.

Was pleased that it was very quickly resolved with no hassle under warranty and they gave me an Octavia wagon as a loaner for a few hours. What was not so pleasing was the complimentary car wash with inevitable "scratch" on my left mirror. Why you got to leave a mark on my mirror, Artarmon?


Having driven the standard Octavia for a few hours I must say I'm glad I stepped up to an RS. I'm not sure if it was the smaller engine, 7 speed DSG, turbo lag, or the fact it was a demo car, or a combination of the above, but the standard Octavia sure felt sluggish off the mark.

I got it off ebay. For some reason I can't find where on ebay, it was international seller from Germany. I will have another proper look tonight when I am not using the horrible ebay app. But its just a vinyl sticker, which was incredibly easy to apply.

The ride on the 19's is actually really good. We did a test drive intially in a wagon with the 18's and I expected the 19's to be noiser and harsher, but it isn't at all. In fact...I find the pirelli pzero's to be quieter than the tyre skoda uses on their 18's.

Good to know the 19's ride well because they look the business I stuck with the 18's because I couldn't stretch the budget any further, plus don't want to be raped on price when it comes time to replace the tyres - the 18's are pricey enough as it is.

No I didn't. I just left it the way it is. I was somewhat expecting a similar finish to the pedal, but alas it was not the case. I still like them, and the wife doesn't hate them so we are winning there.
