Slightly different question. Did anyone buy the boot liner that ALDI had on sale last Sat? Is it a good buy @ $10?

Just returned from a spirited drive home from the gas station (fueled up)

BEEEEP and Red Alert appeared to check Coolant Level. Two shots below. One of MFD in car and what I'm guessing is the Coolant tank. Should I head to dealer to get a top up?

Service is due in less than 1000kms... Or so

I'd top it up with distilled water, unless you have lots of time to waste mucking around with dealers. It's only 1000k to the service. Maybe call them and ask?

Edit: actually thought about it then, coolant isn't scheduled to be changed for a while. Might be best to get them to top it up

You ll probably find once you take the cap off the tank it will release the vacuum pressure and the level will return to normal.

Go to Bunnings & get some demineralised water - it's about $3/5L. top up to the min level

Probably an air bubble, I had the same thing about a year in. Topped up with distilled water a tiny amount and no issues again.

Distilled or demineralised.

I'd only go to the low so the dealer can bring it up to high with concentrate. If you feel snervous about only being on low then take it to high as they can always siphon some out.

I got the Aldi one, just to keep the original boot liner clean. Seems ok.
Haven't opened it and have kept docket just in case.

I've re-read the above a few times and I don't get it.
First sentence is fine; purchase confirmed, intended use stated and satisfaction indicated.
Second sentence; purchase is unopened, intended use is not carried through and satisfaction is now in question.
How will you know if you don't open it and use it??? How can you change your mind within two sentences???

They bought it with the intention of keeping the OEM liner pristine. At first glance it appears fit for purpose but they still haven't taken it out of the packet because (the comments on this forum) have left some doubt in their mind.

Firstly, apologies for the confusion!
Secondly, I been a bit preoccupied in recent weeks, time poor and tired. ...[emoji42]

Gerrycan, still waiting for my car to arrive so I can't test the liner as yet, hence why I have kept the docket. Hence why "satisfaction is now in question."
I hope that answers all of your questions [emoji3] (and anyone else confused and wanting to out do Gerrycan's use of question marks??????[emoji39]).

I also assumed most regulars on the forum know that I am still waiting for my car to arrive....
