I want to clean all the crud from under the track. The previous owners must have been pigs – they were o’so proud about the detailer that spent 4 hrs on it the day before I looked at it. Mate who was with me, chuckled how they should ask for their money back – I thought - hell, what was it like before he got to it...
I figure I can remove the front bolts, loosen the rear bolts so the seat can tilt back enough to get under it.
I was hoping someone with a full set of whatever we want to call the drives could check which size fits. I only have one socket (M14) which I bought from Trade Tools for the rear brakes on the golf.
go to Bunnings and get a spline/triple square set. its branded Kinchrome.
its about $40 and has all sizes to suit our cars, has 1/3 and 1/2 inch drives. IMO worth the money.
you can remove the seat completely. however, remove the battery first BEFORE unplugging the airbags in the seats. after that, its a matter of lifting it out.
