Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Not a Skoda, but i might be tempted to take the Golf for a run. Im not at all interested in 1/4 mile drag racing, but would like to know how it would go down the strip at the same time. Prob low 13's in a manual.

would b a good opportunity to test out the dsg software upgrade i'll b getting shortly.
unfortunately i won't b able to make a trip up to sydney for the next couple of months due to family reasons.MY17 Superb 162TSI, Business Grey, Tech+Comfort Pack, APR ECU+TCU Stg 1, SLA, Rieger Splitter + Side Skirts, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, Hardrace Swaybar, TPMS

I'm the same as you, 1/4 mile drag racing holds very little interest for me
Although I was fascinated with the modified but street legal Golf R doing 10 second passes - Respect!
This is something I would just do once out of curiosity
Would be funny if MCM came with their S2000 and turbo MX5 - LOL2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers

when it comes to drag racing, i know faster shift responses make a difference, which is exactly one of the things the dsg software upgrade does. the dsg in its stock form is quick as it is, but faster than quick can't b bad.MY17 Superb 162TSI, Business Grey, Tech+Comfort Pack, APR ECU+TCU Stg 1, SLA, Rieger Splitter + Side Skirts, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, Hardrace Swaybar, TPMS

It won't make any meaningful difference to our 1/4 mile times,
our cars are so slow that two or three faster than quick gear changes will make a negligible difference
I am interested in the DSG upgrade but for other reasons2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
