On a quick calc with all those options, $49K is about a $2k discount on retail? Based on history (mine and others) I reckon they can do better (you are ordering the kitchen sink after all!), but depends on how hard you want to negotiate and if they want to make less money.

This is going on at the moment, read the fine print, might be no good for you, but if it is be aware of it when negotiating (and its appears to come with the finance so don't factor it into any DA pricing).

Retail drive away quote was $52k...so at $49k it's a 3k or 5.7% discount.

Thanks to everyone for your prompt feedback, it has supported what I was anticipating to pay as well. Will continue to aim for $47 - $47.5k or $48k max if they throw in a few additional incentives. Will report back soon hopefully with some good news.

They need to work harder on that website - go to brochures from the front page and you get MY16; go via the Octavia model page and you get MY15.5

I wonder if my car is (or since it docked yesterday... was) aboard the Tirranna then, as my dealership advises an ETA to their location of 27/07.

Starting to get excited for the RS, advertised my Mazda last week and took a deposit on Sunday which I'm very pleased with. And the chap who is looking to buy my Mazda would like me to drop by sometime with the Skoda, he quite likes those aswell.

Edit: Confirmed, my vehicle is also on board the Tirranna, sitting just South of Cape Schanck at the moment... showing an ETA to dock of 1400 today but will likely be pushed back a little.
