Vw have revoked the dealerships from bb now, so it's prob worse now.

I doubt they would let me have a car without a pdi. But always nice to hope (and ask, I've got nothing to lose by asking)

From an administrative standpoint, it would be interesting to see if they have a procedure in place for these events or if they are just winging it.

It can't be an uncommon event for a dealer to fold, lose their franchise or hand back the franchise.

I'd say just winging it. Vwa also appointed administrators, with so many bureaucrats, God knows when I can get my car. I really don't want to deal with prestige, for fear of them screwing it up like they did last time. So likely ask for Toowoomba or gold coast, but who knows how much extra delay that would add? Timers ticking today. If I haven't heard from them by 10am my time (11am Syd) then I'm going to start calling and giving it to people. I've been nice so far, but I've had enough.

I bought my current Skoda from Gold Coast, good to deal with.

I've called and spoken to a person. As has been the case, their supervisor isn't there and will call back. I had to tell them to call me back today, as they thought 'hopefully by the end of the week' was OK.

Have finally been contacted by someone who can do something. Have forwarded details requested to them and will wait to see what their response is. I doubt they will put the sale through bb Skoda based on the indication they gave me. I gave them dealer preferences, depending on which brand they want to sell it through.

Apparently Thursday they will be able to confirm more for me.

I had actually taken this saturday off from my second job, in the hope myself and the wife could collect the car together (don't buy a new car that often! - in fact the only new cars i've bought have both been skoda's!). The events of yesterday and today have certainly put a dampner on things. These delays have essentially guaranteed that it will be 7 months minimum from order to delivery. BB checked and confirmed that the car was exactly as I ordered in the system, so let's hope that hasnt been stuffed up either. BB has been very apologetic about all of this, and they do seem to be trying to help in regards to the car, but their hands are somewhat tied with VWA just taking all the vehicles....VWA are telling me that they took the vehicles to help the customers.....

They may sort of be telling the truth.
By taking possession of the vehicles VWA avoid the situation that some other claimant may rush in and try to grab them?
You may have paid a deposit but believe me you would be considered last in the queue for any sort of payout in a normal bankruptcy.

That is funny,
I received a hard copy of the South Australian RAA magazine the other day and they announce the Best Medium Car Under $50K as the MAZDA 6 TOURING SEDAN.
Finalists: Toyota Camry Hybrid, VW Jetta 118tsi.

There are a few other differences as well: best small car under $35k is Hyundai i30 (bahaha) and not the VW Golf 90tsi on the web-site
