Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
Dealer is taking the rap. Hes pretty decent. Ive got him on the case to see if he can find a car like what I ordered, but in a different colour. Otherwise, have to think of my options. .......
daMama now demanding a Wagon!
Is this a dream run of stuff ups by dealers or a nightmare for long suffering buyers. Seriously a Sedan when you ordered a Combi IE Wagon!!
A good flogging required in the town square. What are they going to do to apologize and ease the pain?
Sedan is not going to be easy to substitute for a wagon but someone is going to get a sedan real quick!
10mm toughened glass is ~25kg/m2. I don't think it's much more than 40kg including frame etc. Replaces prob 5-10kg of steel, so lucky to see a 25kg increase in weight.
There would have to be a increase in structural roof stiffness with the Pano as well! With possibly some benefit in safety. The weight is right up high so maybe a little penalty in handling?
Mate, I am super sorry to hear that. It is the worst, I would not be happy at all. I hope they can find a new car with the exact order you wanted.
Since we have the same dealership, I suggest you check your order? Just to be sure.
Yeh, there is a capp sedan in leather waiting for someone.
So gutted as I was really looking forward to taking delivery after our holiday. And I need to sell my current car asap as it's losing more value the longer I leave it.
Apparently the GM said to blame the factory, so I don't know who is at fault. See what happens.

I was thinking that, but probably a good excuse for GTR27 to add anti-roll bars to his list of extras. And a remap to move all the extras along

Absolutely tragic, I really feel for you!
I would take up the GM's claim with VW Australia because I think it is either BS and they will tell him to shut up and offer you suitable compensation. or he is right and you may get more from VW Australia.
Nothing short of a miracle will fix this problem in the short-term, but your subsequent treatment over this blunder could well reflect in what is seen on Google when someone searches on "Skoda".
The mud associated with the DSG fiasco is still clinging to public perceptions despite the fact I have not seen any further reports of problems in this forum.
I hope it's not the dealer, because the great service at that dealership is what sold my wife on a Skoda in the first place and I'll be going back to place my next order there some time next year.
I sincerely hope you get a favourable resolution soon. I would take the dealer's reasons with a pinch of salt and escalate this with Skoda Australia. Good luck!

Don't give me ideas! Most of my extras have turned up now. Just waiting for my car. I double checked my invoice and everything is definitely on there. The dealer re checked mine when venom had his issue, so should be OK.
These sort of errors do lots of damage to the brand. Not that vwa cares!
2014 Skoda Ambition Plus 103TSI candy white wagon, 6sp Manual, Tech pack, Panoramic Sunroof, 18's, Colour Maxidot, Comfort BT
Ordered 07 May 14 (Wk 15), Built Wk 37, Loaded 27/9 (wk 39), Docked 12/11 (wk 46), DELIVERED! 12/12 (end of wk 50 - 7 months + 1 week).
Carelessness. Thats really the only thing. If I was a dealer, i'd would ****ing triple check that **** (i'd prob also know all the codes off by heart though ha ha) to make sure I wasnt the cause of any issues.
I have no idea how the ordering system works but you'd think at the end after putting in the codes it would come up with a plain english list of what you've ordered as a double check rather than just a long list of alphanumeric designators.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
I'm gonna say it would be 100% the dealers fault. They enter the order into the system. With the amount of checks and quality systems in place it would be pretty hard for what is a wagon code to be swapped into a sedan at the factory without anyone noticing.
Question though. What sd card do people use (size/class) and what format will the bolero read? Can I use FLAC?
Was planning to make folders for music type (dance, modern, 90s, 80s, rock, etc) and just chuck everything in there in its appropriate folder.
Failing that, has anyone tried to stream Pandora via BT?
