I've ordered an RS Wagon, metallic dark grey. Petrol with DSG. Every spec including Glass Roof, Auto Tailgate, Tech Pack (w/out Reverse Camera). Excluding Leather seats. $46k.

Can anyone else tell me what they have paid/told to pay with the same specs? I'm in WA too.... Think i'm paying a tad too much. Car comes in about 4 weeks..

Why would you want to know if you paid too much? Not much you can do about it and will just cast a negative cloud over what should be an exciting purchase. Is the car on the Glorious Leader as that is lass than 4 weeks away?

I haven't really kept track lately of what others have paid on here after I ordered and at the end of the day I don't really care. The car is amazing value for money and nothing in its class comes close for practicality and performance even at full recommended drive away price.

At $46K, with all options selected, you've done much better than me. My drive away price is $48000 with same specs as your car inc pano roof except 2 differences (NO auto tailgate but YES to Leather seats option). I even showed my dealer yours and another buyer's forum post re what your dealers quoted and he wouldn't match it stating that the price quoted is the minimum dealer margin (and as a business owner I would do exactly the same in their circumstances).

When demand for custom orders far outstrips supply, I was quite surprised and satisfied with them knocking a few thousand off RRP even if it may be much worse than others may have paid. Sure I may have done better if I haggled with other dealers but the bottom line is that I wanted the car asap and to do that it meant ordering prior to any official prices being released by Skoda Oz.

Anyway, my car is due to arrive at Port Kembla on 28th September (built 28th July) so very much looking forward to hopefully mid October delivery for me.

We have the same build date! I think! My car is on Glorious Leader the ship, it left South Africa the other day... Coming to Fremantle... I hope it lands in October as I'm in USA most of Oct and come back in Nov, so even if it lands in mid Sept, I don't want to touch it. Dealer will store it for me!

When you did the deal you were happy with the price. Suggest you stay happy. What's the alternative?

Have you not signed a contract? Your order to delivery time is amazing for a car in such high demand. Your price seems decent also. Be happy with what you have!

Signed contract but have already been in twice with price changes, adding of chrome back, including change of tech pack to just tech pack with no camera..... Excited!

Glorious leader is about 5 days from Fremantle. I am hoping the car is in our hands by the 15th of Sep at the latest. You must be on the next trip so plus 11 weeks...

You could try to bargain on extras like half price extended warranty, but if you have a contract why would the dealer reduce the price?

MJKooLio, you got a good price. Don't forget WA has higher stamp duty than everywhere else, so don't compare prices to other states.

My car is on Glorious Leader!!! So 5 days away from Freo, then 10 days or so in customs..... eek! I can wait tip November! It'll sit at the Skoda dealer tip then! Suckers. (oh wait... I have a Fiat Panda until then....) We've crossed things out on the contract with price, added things so I think we can change the price! I'm keen on the extended warranty for sure!

Tried another sedan octavia rs today, brought along the mrs as it will be mainly for her. Blue, full leather...looked fantastic. She drove it and loved it straight up, said it was the most fun car she had driven. Once again my ears had issues with equalising, by the time I got out they were in pain when returning to the dealer, even as a passanger half way through the test drive. My mrs didn't feel any discomfort, she has a cold and was blocked up so not sure if this had anything to do with it. It also may only affect certain people, I asked the dealer and he hadn't felt anything of sort. We are discussing buying the wagon as it didn't give me this feeling at all, but she's not a fan of it. Hmmm. Unfortunately ordering new is not an option for me now, I will only buy after I test drive and don't feel the pressurisation issue which only I feel for some reason in the hatch sedan. I'm so pissed, I wanted this car.
