New Octavia ....when? How Much?

I noticed you list Bluetooth in your spec, isn't it standard in all Octavias thus not really worth mentioning?

"Comfort bluetooth" is an option. Only $50 - I understand it improves signal strength or some such....for $50 why not.

I didn't bother with the Comfort Bluetooth in my Wife's Ambition Plus, I was told it only really was voice control; after getting my Elegance with Voice control I'm glad i saved the $50. The voice control is near on useless, just as bad as the one in the Superb, which i used twice before giving up.

The Elegance has the Columbus 8" Nav (aka Discover Pro) which has its own more advanced voice control AFAIK.

The $50 optional voice control for the Ambition and Ambition Plus would be a different system. I imagine if you have the Bolero in the Ambition Plus it'd work something like the system on the Golf 7 (http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ml#post1064920). I have no idea how the voice control works with the Swing radio in the Ambition though...

Had a call from the dealer today. Still no confirmed build date. He reckons Front sensors are pulled from all cars as an option, unless in tech pack due to supply constraints

He said my order is in invalid status, however he said that RS orders with tech pack are also like that, so not to worry yet. No build date. He is going to speak with skoda logistics tomorrow and see if he can get more details - he reckons their system doesnt seem to get updated very well (not compared to what dealers in the UK can see!). Why cant they just hurry up and build it dammit!

The front sensors on my ambition plus is dealer fitted and compatible with Bolero.

Are you sure that its not the Adaptive Cruise Control radar that's the issue, i can't believe the front and rear sensors themselves are different from each other.

Sorry, front sensors as a stand alone option, from all car orders now onwards. Current orders will get them, but they will cease to be an option from now on (except in tech pack). And yes, adaptive cruise is one of the other main slowdowns.......both front sensors and ACC are noted on briskoda as issues....

Considering asking if I can modify the order to include a pano roof.......

EDIT: Have spoken to dealer and he's not sure. He will call Skoda Aus and see if they can check the system to see if I've been allocated a build date yet, and if not, see if I can add the pano roof.

Found an interesting tidbit from Briskoda too. Cars made from BW22-34 will get the Flat-bottom wheel, but it'll be missing the little RS badge. In Germany they're offering free retrofits when they're available. Considering most of us are expecting a July build lets hope something similar is in place for Skoda AU. It looks like a pretty easy swap (I think the lower chrome V pops out) so I imagine if you complain to your dealer they'll be able to work something out.

I actually prefer it without the rs badge, though i'ts not a big deal. I just want a build date!

Spoke to my dealer today. I added front parking sensors with my order and he confirmed that that option is no longer available.
Still no build date either.

I think front parking sensors can be done after delivery? Just need to find a set that will work with the car system?
