I think front parking sensors can be done after delivery? Just need to find a set that will work with the car system?

Its pricey and easy for people to mess up the install. They have to drill holes into the bumper and spray the sensors, plus it'd take way, way too much work to retrofit the park assist 2 system.

It was easy back in the day when it was just rear sensors tied to a buzzer but the new OPC ones are tricky.

Spoke to my dealer today. I added front parking sensors with my order and he confirmed that that option is no longer available.
Still no build date either.

I'm still waiting on the dealer to get back to me about the sunroof addition! Surely its a phone call to skoda AU to check the order status, then modify if not in scheduled build? That's all it appears to be in the UK i'm not sure why it's different here. I'm adding to the order, not taking off, so more money for them!

I will make sure it doesnt affect sensors etc as we optioned the tech pack with acc/sensors/park assist and am keen to have them all.

I hope they dont retrospectively remove front sensors......that would suck the big one. Part of the beauty of factory sensors is having it integrated into the display on the stereo. Although because tech pack includes park assist, surely they would have to include it with them?

Anyway.....wish the dealer would answer my "can I add the pano roof to my order?" Dying to know if we can squeeze it in.......it's very appealing and now the wife has seen videos and photos, she is interested as well......

What model did you order?

I orded the Ambition plus wagon on 27 May. I'm begining to feel that it wont arrive until early Oct.

I believe there is a huge batch being built "in july" for australian orders.......for sept/oct delivery. Most orders placed before june should be in that build batch........But no one has a confirmed build date yet (that I know of) so who knows. I ordered at the start of may and have no confirmed build date....

You have 2+ months after build for it to reach OZ, so a July build would be around end of September or early October, unless they start looking for planes in the Indian Ocean again.

my (mk2 RS) took 3 months from rolling off the production line in Mladá Boleslav, to delivery in my hands.
the sea journey itself is 7 weeks, then u have prep & delivery time, which is usually 1-2 weeks.

Spoke with the dealer today, he should get back to me by the end of the week. Apparently has had many many deliveries last week (over 20) so should see more on the road. I'll get one of two things. Either it has a confirmed build date, or ill get the sunroof added. Either way i'm happy so I cant really complain. Just wish I could get the roof added, then get the build date confirmed a week later or something!
