I have had a series of hatches and currently have a hatch RS and an awd wagon. 99% of the time the extra back qtr a wagon gives never gets used as you can't see. You can load a hatch up and the ledge holds it all in and out of sight.
99% of the time is prob about right..
But its that 1% of the time that extra quarter comes in handy at IKEA
REally? I like the look of the hatch but the practicality of the wagon..
How much more practical is the wagon once parcel shelf removed on the hatch?
Surely a tall dog will hit its head on the hatch window?
My standard poodle sits in the hatch area happy as larry. He's 20kg & stands about 55cm at the withers. There are some hatch owners at briskoda that fit 2 bigger dogs so it isn't a huge issue.
Having said that, I'm sorry i didn't pay the extra for a wagon so my bike would fit better.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
But will the Australian delivered models actually get those customizable Driving Modes?
Seems alot of cars in europe have adaptable steering/dampening standard.. but not so standard here?

I also have a standard poodle though current one's just a pup.
Previous 27kg standard happy in VW Golf with parcel shelf removed- He looked thru headrests for view when not snoozing.
Headrests up were effective enough to stop him jumping thru.
My preference for Hatchback vs Wagon is just personal, illogical dislike of the wagon style.
eta: Local dealer says Skoda Octavia 3 launch for dealer reps is 28 Nov.
Can I just boast and say how much I'm enjoying seeing the new Octavias out and about? I probably see one a week on average now, although I've only seen the one vRS model.
I also seen on Rapid Spaceback which actually looks pretty good.
Hopefully by the time I get back to Australian in 2015 any early issues with them will be sorted. The only problem will be the long lead times in the order (last time it was 4 months).
