Yeah mine wasn't ordered from scratch.

The car is already in the system and it was available...so i took it =)

if i ordered last week, I was told the ETA would be Sept

You'll love Auto Tailgate - you really will. I think you'll find you can walk up to it with your arms full & wave your foot under the bumper & the tailgate opens.

On one of our previous cars we had handsfree unlock. We thought it would be a gimmic but it was unreal. Wife is due for a new car & one of her "nice to haves" is the handfree unlock.

My car is on the Elektra too guys! I've been tracking it since it left the port of Belgium. Extremely excited! It's getting really really close now! I noticed tracking with marine traffic or vessel finder drops off the radar once in the middle of the ocean but I stumbled upon this Elektra — 9V8798 — position and weather — sailwx.info. For those of you that's crazy as I am, that link will satisfy your tracking craze!

Also, the dealer says roughly 3 weeks after docking before it will be on site . Seems a bit long when others are getting it in 2 weeks. As long as it's before Easter I am happy.

It doesn't work via foot Brad. But touch the button on the tailgate and it swings up. Or use the key fob.

It's height of opening can be preprogrammed too, so short people don't have it open out of reach. Might suit you Brad... :p

I wouldn't have ticked that box if I'd factory ordered but now I've got it I love it.
Salesman said he does his best to get it on all the cars he gets.

              • With vcds, you can also code it to open and close off the key. Probably the only option I am thinking I should have ticked, that I didn't. Lol

Hi Juniorgold, I have been using the same tracking site, madly refreshing every hour or so even though its only updated about four times a day. On another note I notice in your sig that you have 19"s, when did you order? After my first order was lost in the system my second order at the start of Nov I was told I could not get a car built with 19"s (direct from Skoda Aus) if I wanted it to be built before March or April. Hence the dealer is fitting 19's at delivery at their cost as it was part of my original order. Who is your delivering dealer? Mines Essendon.

                    • How quickly can you stop the auto tailgate when it's swinging up? I'm thinking of those "oh *****" moments when you're in an undercover carpark with some low hanging structure high enough to clear the roof of the car, but not quite high enough to clear an open/opening tailgate?

I've come within a hair of doing just that myself - only just managing to grab the strap before the tailgate smashed into some overhead pipe work - someone else at work wasn't quite so lucky with the tailgate of their A5... The wife also put a thumbnail sized ding in the tailgate of her A1 when she let it swing up into a structural element of the carpark at her work about 6 months ago.

You can pre programme the auto tailgate in one of 3 positions with #2 being about 2/3rds of the fully up position. (P62 of the manual if you're looking online

Also have a look at the Skoda App on your iPad. Search for Skoda & download Skoda Interactive Catalogue & select Skoda Octavia RS or Skoda Octavia vehicle. It has lots of buttons to push; check different colours; change rims; simply clever videos etc. Good fun (especially while waiting for your car to arrive)

                          • After a long wait, my RS has been built and now loaded on the Asian King in Zeebrugge.. on it's way to Melbourne. According to the tracking site ETA is 14/04/2015.
I can hardly stand the wait.. I've been looking forward to this since Jul/Aug last year...
