Pfft. There's a guy here that took a photo of his car being unloaded. Waited in an area with a telephoto lens. That's dedication! Don't worry venom, it's natural to want to know. Hope they turn it around for you quick, and there is no **** ups on the order this time!

Had a call today from Lee at Allan Mckay Skoda moss vale. My new RS is a 6/12/14 build and he has been informed that it will arrive in OZ on the 27/3/15 then 7 to 10 days to delivery. A long wait but it works out well for me. For those that have later build dates you may have a bit of a wait yet.

I have finally been given a build date (week 9 beginning 23 February). I estimate the Unicorn should be here by the end of May which will make it 12 months since order. What the #&*@! Lucky for Skoda there is nothing comparable in terms of size, performance and price. It is a difficult brand to recommend with supply like this.New Arrival: 2015 Skoda Octavia vRS TSI DSG Combi (MY15) | Black Magic Pearl| Tech Pack with RVC | Comfort Pack | 18" Black Turini Wheels | Auto Boot | Panoramic Sunroof | Chrome Pack | Alarm | Extended Warranty Ordered 31/05/14 Collected 6/6/15
Gone: 2005 Honda Accord Euro | Metallic Silver | 2.4L 4cyl MT

I have recently started looking for a wagon for the family which is also a bit fun to drive and I am quite interested in the RS162 sedan/wagon.
So from what I can gather from reading the last 10-15 pages of this thread, it seems a custom built car has quite a long wait time and that the wagons are more highly sought after than the sedan.
I was going through carsales and I came across a few 2014 built ones in the dealers. Some of them are brand new and some of them have 1000-3000 km on board.
If I am happy with these 2014 ones with DSG (I do realize the 2015 built do get a few extras but I'd rather not wait for many months), what is a good price to pay for these floor stocks?
e.g. a 2014 liftback DSG with 1600 km is selling for $41990, is it unreasonable to try to get it under $40k?
There are also a few brand new liftbacks advertised for $43-45k and what would be a good price for these roughly?
many thanks in advance.

Unless they have a few packs added in, I would be reluctant to pay any more than 40k for a hatch. RRP before the dealers fictional delivery costs are around 36-37k from memory. It makes things very murky with the driveaway price these days which is the opposite of why that was brought in as it allows them to pad out crazy amounts of DD in there.
