Its not there on current octavia hatches...atleast not on the MY11 model, nor have I seen it on others.
Sure my key fob has it - unlock boot only.

The only interior switch is the lock/unlock all doors (incl boot) switch next to the 12v supply under the handbrake.

    • Yes you are correct that is the switch I was referring to. I use it as a boot release switch when the ignition is turned off.
The button MJkooLio refers to is the switch for the electric operation of the boot lid on WAGONS fitted with KESSY. The graphic on the switch for some reason shows a hatch the same as the graphic on the key fob but the switch itself is only fitted to wagons with KESSY.
It is explained in the user manual for the new Octavia series.

      • The online user manuals for the new model make for interesting reading. Some nice features and some strange ones.

It looks like the hatches now get a 12V socket in the boot as standard (finally).
It looks like there is a 230V 150W AC socket on the back of the centre console for plugging things like notebooks or other low power AC devices directly into.
The parking assist function will now get you out of a car park as well as into one (maybe it always did that?)
The motorway light pattern for the adaptive headlights only operates at speeds over 110kph
The auto stop/start appears to be standard and has to be deactiviated every time the ignition is started if you don't want to use it.
There are both spare wheel and tyre repair kit options. It will be interesting to see what we get here.
If they stick with the Columbus system in Aus the CD/DVD slot and SD sockets are now located in the passenger side glove box.
The USB socket on the dash is for things like thumb drives and external hard drives.
There is a "Media in" socket that seems to replace the USB/Aux socket on the dash for use with i devices that allows control of the devices from the Columbus screen. There is an ominous comment that "Extension cables to connect external sources are available from ŠKODA original accessories." There is a second comment that "Video (only available if a red adapter is used)". Maybe the MDI is not dead after all.
There is no indication of the size of the hard drive or even whether there is a hard drive fitted any longer. I guess with support for SDXC cards it's not really required any more.
The Columbus will only index 1000 files. If you storage media contains more files that that tough luck.
Most common video formats are supported including standard DVD and things like iPad and Windows Media player.
Album artwork is supported via Gracenote.

          Octavia Combi is 4x4.
Octavia Combi RS should be 4x4 too - though the site does a good job to hide it.

          • "The RS boasts three completely exclusive colours from the Octavia palate: the brand new metallic Steel Grey, Rallye Green and non-metallic Sprint Yellow."

woohoo.....yellow is still exclusive to the RS.
i'm sure the race blue fans will b ok........

Not quite sure where you get this info from. There's that weird 4x4 / RS graphic in the Combi (Eurospeek for wagon) section but nothing concrete

AWD has always been available as an option overseas (was available here too with pre-FL models) with the non-Scout Combi Octavia.

I think AWD takes the edge off the sportiness.

              • I got it from that graphic you saw on the Octavia combi page. (Though didn't know a combi was a wagon, so probably a misinterpretation.)

                Also here for non-RS combi

                • I think you are seeing what you want to see.

Prepare to be disappointed - especially in low-volume AUS.

Doesn't mean you can't build your own. There's a guy over at BriSkoda that is putting an old 5v 1.8t Mk1 TT AWD drivetrain into a CitiGo. He calls it a CitiGo-go

                  • There is obviously a AWD Combi (Wagon) in the range for use in countries where winter snow and ice is prevalent but as mentioned it was dropped in Australia when the FL came out in late 2009. I would be surprised if it came back here I think it's more likely that Skoda Aus would wait for a Scout version with slightly increased ground clearance and underbody protection which is far more suitable for Australian dirt roads.

Not just the fact that they're LED's, but the fibre optic effect as well.
Camry's and Yaris' have LED tail lights but they don't look that good or even the same.
