Its a shame this sort of semi-matt look appears to just be a lighting or photoshop trick. I think it looks better than the gloss.

Actually I take back what I said before. I'm lovin the RS wagon, particularly the white and red ones. Both would look good with very dark window tint and black rims.

I started liking the white wagon, until I saw the blue wagon, and then I liked the red wagon...

Then I saw the back of the red wagon and thought the tails look lost in that pic... so i went back to the white wagon, until I remembered that the one thing I wasnt too keen on my white B7 V6 sportpack Passat was the cherry red tails (the R36 and Rgolf darkened tails would have been better)....

so I am back to the blue wagon... tho tints on the windows with smoked pano roof would look awesom on the white wagon....

I'm boring, we really love our Race blue hatch, so would go that again, and love the new sunroof. We like the current one we have, but that smoked panoramic one is awesome. The blue has been a great colour for us, it still looks good when dirty and hides a multitude of sins...

Maybe black but aren't they harder to keep clean and if you don't wash for a while it'll look dirty?

Watching those videos, I'm staring at the blue sedatch and thinking "Gonna have to carbon wrap that... and that... and that... hmm, that too"
Hehe, I really need to save my pennies...

But no room for auxilliary lighting!... That could hurt the country driving.

My wife has owned black cars exclusively since the early 1980s and I can tell you that back cars look dirty within 10 minutes of being washed and they show every single dirt spot or paint chip.
If you like to keep your car clean do not buy black unless you can afford a daily car detail.

I'm on my second black car in 5 yrs, although being wider and taller it gets marked more often. I have used toughseal for both and it keeps them looking cleaner for longer and quicker to clean. Not as good as the race blue though, it hides dirt better.

I've downloaded HIGH RES pics from Skoda Media and noticed this on the vRS interior photo. They must have shot the Combi version... See the centre buttons near the gearbox.... the Boot Lid button? Auto open/close on the boot or will it just be to unlock it?

I spot a USB entertainment port too.

The USB port is visible on any picture of the dash and FINALLY puts to death the stupid proprietary MDI interface. There is a standard AUX in port beside it if you look at other pictures.

The boot release switch is fitted to the current Octavia hatches. It just unlocks the boot.
