Racing Dash style LED numberplate lights for Octy wagon vRS

Hi Octy guys.

Asking on behalf of my brother who has a 2012 Octy vRS wagon. Im trying to source some LED numberplate lights for his car and would really like the Racing Dash type replacment housings, as i have these on my Golf and i know they work well, fit well and are well made.

I havent found anything so far that is listed to fit the Octy, so a few months ago i purchased some LED festoon replacement lights from Bold Sport and some ceramic resistors from Jaycar and fitted them to the car.

These worked for a few months but i noticed one of his bulbs has blown the other day. I really would like to get him a proper replacement light that wont cause any dramas or need replacing every few months.

What do you guy's use?

These lights below look very similar in shape and size of the lense, but the connector on the Octy is different. Also im not sure if these ones are CANBUS suitable.

SuperSkoda sell these LED festoon bulbs (free shipping) but you should be able to get something like this locally

Have been eyeing their tail lights for awhile... I'm about to click "purchase" on the led numberplate lights because I'm just over the yellow (72,500km is far too long)

There is a fair amount of negative feedback about Milotec on the internet - particularly with regard to body parts (quality and fitment)

I contacted them recently about shipping costs and they told me the tail lights were discontinued....?

I guess I'll find out... Due to the shipping system, I pay an invoice after they work out a price. I haven't actually handed over any cash yet
