beware of the vagcom cable. its not a genuine cable, its pretty much a rip-off of the rosstech. their support is good, but only supports older versions of VCDS, which may mean youll miss functions or function labels. yes, I had one. ended up shelling out for the genuine one and ive never looked back.

to the look, I like the DRLs down low like that. and yes LED ones would help significantly.

do they turn off at night or dim?

They turn off if the lights turn on.

Interesting you say about the software as I use the one I downloaded from RossTech direct so it def not kissing anything. Only thing is that its not the full v11 I am running the older one but still has all the functions I need

ok you know to the right of the steering wheel, there is the pocket you can put..... well, anything that will fit in there.

its below that, but above the bonnet catch release. tucked under the lower half of the dash shroud.

            its a purple plug

I am sure I looked below the steering wheel, also took that pocket out.

guess I missed it and will see if my Wife will go down and dirty on her hands and knees to check if she can find IT

No need to remove the pocket, its under the dash below that, it may have a cover on it but I doubt it
