I was riding my motorcycle to work this morning (nice day, felt like some fresh air) and I looked in the mirror and there behind me was a Fabia Monte Carlo, yellow with a white roof. My Fabia spotted count has now increased 50% to 3.
The thing I noticed first were the fog lights (?) on. Are they fogs or are they DRLs?

Yes we went to the blue mountains on Sat, and passed three supurb wagons, one sedan, and three fabia base models...only one RS octavia!
Still, I saw more Skodas in that one day than most days!
2018 Ralyee Green RS wagon. Fully optioned.
Previous vehicles:2015 Volvo V60 Polestar (my one detour from VW/Skoda!)
2013 Platin grey RS wagon / 2012 White Polo GTI / 2009 Black 125 Tiguan

When you go to touristy locations you often see rental racers so if Europcar are using Skodas again in their fleet there is a good chance that some at least of the cars you saw are renters.
A couple of years ago I was in the Apollo Bay area during January and saw half a dozen different Octavias over the course of two or three days and they all had Europcar stickers on the back window.

I hope they are using them again, I've had to resort to hiring passats and commodores to get the same boot the Octavias had and the cost has been adding up recently.

I feel that it devalues any car model used as a hire car.

They get turned over in batches and affect our values.

Anyway, they only ever have basic models in such fleets, not the higher end RS models...

Yeah, right... Like you'd lay down $50k a pop on a fleet of sports models for people to hire and abuse!
2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.
                  1990 Mk1 Cabrio. 1.9 IDI w/ 18PSI.
                  1985 Mazda T3500 adventuremobile. 1973 Superbug. 1972 Volvo 144 in poo-brown.

Europcar had both the 103 diesel and 1.8 TSI Octavia.

Just looking through the available cars from Europcar there are plenty of >$50k Audis in their fleet.

I paid 50k drive away with a years rego. RS wagon, petrol DSG with every single factory option and the more expensive paint. Only thing missing is the 6-stacker cd player.
I was happy with the deal I got.

But are any of them RS4's?

Are you seriously suggesting that the vRS is like an RS4?
