Other than that, mine has been as reliable as a hammer over 3.5 years, I m starting to feel anxious over carbon build ups and cam chain tensioner failures though.
I don't think ours is broken as much as its just not sliding smoothly...I've wondered about lubing with some silicon spray....

Don't know if it works for you or not but Auto Union Deutsche is in Oakleigh, sounded like they knew what they were doing and had loan cars. Never got to try them but have seen positive feedback on the forum.
I have used Auto Union for years for both my AUDI's and the skoda will be off to visit them as soon as it needs to. I cant fault them. They have been great.

Just had a leaking water pump replaced on mine, just over 40k. It's only got several mweeks left on its warranty now, starting to get nervous.

Be thankful your water pump was done during warranty - ours went 6 months out of warranty, not cheap, and not happy. The RS is about to get replaced, probably with a VF Calais Sportwagon, mainly due to having a 3rd baby on the way, but the potential issues with reliability after warranty are making me a bit nervous...

Did they just do the impeller or the whole assembly? What type of money did they charge?

            Mine was ~$1200-$1400 IIRC

I won't include the DPF issue early on, which was covered under warranty and was usage and advice rather than parts failure, the only issue has been an exhaust pressure sensor, replaced under warranty after almost 3 years.

It was about $1500 for both water pumps.
