does the rear badge actually fit in the hole?
Almost fits - is 1-2mm too large.
The pins on the back come off so easily - almost too easily. Mines glued on with windscreen glue, cause the gap behind it is too large for the double sided foam tape.2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.

I have to agree about the lack of love I'm not really feeling any for the current Skoda styling across the board. The Passat Allroad wagon is starting to look very attractive (apart from the auto only trans).
People should note though that the front shot at least is taken with a very wide angle lens (look at the way the gutter at the bottom of the photo bends). Wide angles accentuate distance which is why you never use them for portraits because they make peoples noses look large. The same effect is happening in that front on shot. It's not a good shot to show the styling.Last edited by K1W1; 17-04-2013, 10:20 PM.

back to the styling. I think its been mentioned that being a child company of VW, perhaps their influence of similar model styling is filtering down to the lower models.
anyone looked at SEAT? I'm genuinely asking, I haven't actually looked.

Fact.
It is a bad photo from the point of view of displaying the vehicles. To start with it is taken from the wrong angle and it has obvious distortion of the depths.
Yes you can see the differences or similarities in the headlights and grills but as a shot to display the cars lines it's rubbish.

Either way...I am not a fan of either model...
They are just a bit too "Camry bland" in my opinion.
I guess the RS will shrpen things up.
SO...Is there going to be a RAPID RS?????? (polo GTI rival / equivalent)2018 Ralyee Green RS wagon. Fully optioned.
Previous vehicles:2015 Volvo V60 Polestar (my one detour from VW/Skoda!)
2013 Platin grey RS wagon / 2012 White Polo GTI / 2009 Black 125 Tiguan

they have a more aggressive look, but IMO I prefer the RS every time. Rapid RS? maybe, but I would say probably not. what engine would they put in it? They already have an RS Fabia with the 'smaller' engine, then the big brother RS Octavia. do VW have a performance model in the mid range? I know they supply passats with our 147tsi motor, but I don't see a 'performance model' around. not that I take much notice of VWs

The 147TSI is just the higher power model - nothing sporty about it.2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.

Its not, no. And they didn't replace it with anything (See Golf R32 -> Golf R)
Sure, its sporty... When its in a vRS. Its not sporty when its in a bog standard Passat.
Falcon XR6 = sporty... Falcon = not sporty. Exact same engine (XR6 is actually a little slower)2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.
