A supposed leak of the new Octavia RS. Thoughts?

I have found a replacement for mine, when the time comes.

Don't like it.
The reason I don't like it is that if this is correct the new RS just looks like the new sedan with a tiny boot lid spoiler added. The current RS looks distinctly different to the standard models this just looks like a dealer added spoiler.

I'm sorry but have you ever played with the Skoda 3D configurator? The screen is small, which means that blown up like this, the images would be grainy. It is definitely real.

And for the record, I think it looks nice except the front bar and the wheels.

nope, I haven't played with the skoda configurator yet.
I don't get a few things looking at those RS configurator pics:-
1. why r there no foglights?
2. why is the rear brake calliper not red like the front?
3. whats with the tiny rear spoiler?!?
4. where is the roof mounted antenna?

i'll believe it when I c real pics of a mule or something.

The vRS does and always has it's one of the distinguishing design elements. Many other 2013 Skodas do so it's highly unlikely that the top of the line performance model won't.

Highly unlikely when none of the other 2013 Octavias do. Skoda have always had the same aerial arrangement across all models in the past and if you were to see a fully integrated aerial from the VW group you will see it appear first in Audi not Skoda.

This looks like it's either a very early concept or an out and out fake or just a case of somebody at the factory having a bit of fun with peoples minds to keep the Skoda name appearing on motoring web sites.

that was the whole point of my response to Jake02 - its not real!!

as K1W1 has already mentioned, all RS models, to date, have had the round foglights to distinguish it from the rest of the octavias. also this is not a golf r.
All the mk3 Octavia shown so far, including the pre-productions show a stubby roof antenna.
will the RS b different? maybe.
but as I said before, until the fat lady sings.........

I don't think it's fake, I think it's a 'leak' by Skoda to tease it or keep interest in it now that the model has been revealed. The images from the configurator couldn't really be photoshopped from any other images. If it's not real, I'd suggest that it's damn close to the real thing and honestly, apart from details, did we expect the RS to look much different to that?

Jake, That's like saying my Elegance is like a vRS except for a few details. Detail is what differentiates models.

My vRS looks like a Jetta with a spoiler I guess. They both have 4 doors after all.
