Just had this issue fixed under warranty, no questions asked. Interestingly I told the dealer what I thought it was based on researching on this forum!!

Any chance you could please explain this a little more? Where exactly was the rattle coming from? and was it more of a clunk than a rattle as such? I've got a clunk when I accelerate more so in 1st and 2nd and it's also now appearing when I compression decelerate also. Just wondering if mine is the wastegate rattle. My clunk seems to be coming from somewhere between the gearbox and engine bay?Originally posted by code618 View PostComment

What speed fighter said. The waste gate rattle is exactly as he described. Particularly between 2-4,000 rpm. Wasn't that subtle with my example.
You're dealing with something else by the sound of it.... But I come to the forum to get knowledge as I'm not really qualified to give it...

Have a rattle on my 2010 vRS. Tried for a fix with Trivett parramatta but to hard. Usually have music up load so don't notice. Hope you get a result.vRS 2011 Race BlueComment

Currently mine is getting a new head etc due to broken valve spring. I wonder if they'll do the waste gate too. Got to be worth asking!
