Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Time to get serious!!!

    Looks... Good.
Thanks Mysticality. Asides from the hoipe of eluding the authorities, its also to break down and add a little more detail to the front end fo the the pre-facelift vrs as it unfortunately doesn't have the "look at me" lines and slick design of the face-lifted RS's. Plus the prefacelift front end looks taller and wide with the relatively flat and boring space between the bilateral flanking side horizontal crease lines between the flat spot below the headlights and above the foggies. Just felt it needed something else there to fill out the space so it doesn't look so boring and plain. he he he. I know there would be mixed opinions about this but after some long and hard thinking, I thought it would look alright and add to the theme.

Sorry Lucas_R, that was the best quick google representation of what I'm getting that could be found.

Also got the BFI 90 duro engine mount insert today from Tim and changed over the rego plates to my old personalised ones (white on black background - problem now is, there's friggin exposed screw holes on the front bar.

                • ^ you might need to get some of these colour coded bumper plugs to cover up the holes. Quite a few of the Golf guys have used these and say they are good.

How's your DNA tune going? After speaking to you and several other customers a few months back, i bought a DNA tune from John recently. Heaps more grunt than my previous Bluefin - it made 204kw / 354nm at all fours. Yippee.

Good to hear you went with DNA tuning. Johns a nice guy and deserves the props. My tune is going just fine. Only limited factor is lack of all paw traction. Oh well.

Hmm bumper plugs eh? Better for a look see.
