Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Time to get serious!!!

You can pick up a set of Koni FSDs Sports shocks and Eibachs from a joint just round the corner from you called Top Performance, not sure how much they's be now, I got mine a while back. But I agree with Dave for sure, get the whiteline ALK, and front and rear swaybars, helps heaps! I got mine from Autobarns in Bayswater for between $200-$280 for each part. Look into it, worth the $$$... My RS handles great now, super sharp!NOW: MY15.5 Race Blue RS

Love the work you've done to the car so far, keeping a close eye for future reference to possibly joining the Occy RS club.

So time for an update, recently replaced the old MFD2 Nexus sat nav unit with a chinese rns510 lookalike and works a charm so far. Been advise my whiteline rear sway bar has finally arrived so will be getting that installed tomorrow. Ordered the honeycomb bonnet grill insert and second shopping hanger for the boot. Next mods will be the downpipe and intercooler and then a stage 2 retune (might not happen for a while since tight on cash). Oh and the matt silver mirror covers have come off.Last edited by Gti Dave; 02-09-2011, 12:02 PM.

No more frustration with portable bluetooth only connecting when it likes or taking so long to take a call that the person on the other end hangs up. Touch screen make a world of difference especially when using the sat nav function rather than the old buttons and dials to select and scroll.

I'm glad too. I made sure that the warranty was 2 yrs before I put my money down. Took me a while to make the decision as I didn't feel comfortable putting down more than $2200 for the zenec system and then being charged $200 to install something that would be a 2 min job.Last edited by Gti Dave; 02-09-2011, 03:24 PM.
