Sunday is good for me as well.

I have updated the Google map to include an option to detour along Woodhill Mtn/Wattamolla Rd.

My thinking is that we arrive at Moss Vale for a meet-and-greet, drive down and end at one of the vineyards (or any other venue) closer to the coast.

We should be firm about numbers by the 2nd week of January 2011 at the latest so that we can organise a venue.

Sunday is best for me and the 20th is free.
Placing the date on the calendar (in pencil) so that none of the family organise something else onthat day.
Gravel roads are out for me - so if we do opt for taking that route i will detour and meet back up.

I am heading to Roberson this weekend and will come back via kiama & the national park. Will let you know how busy the roads are.

Ill probably head out in Feb for a run. Car will have 1500+ k’s on it by then & should have springs / brakes sorted too.

Actually good point, after doing about 500k's of gravel driving on holiday, unless you have mudflaps on your VRS, I highly discourage gravel road driving. Because of the tyre width and the shape, the rear quater panels behind the wheels take a real beating and you end up with gravel rash on the paint. I found out the hard way

Yeah it doesn't make much sense to me to take our shiny Skodas down some dirt road on a Skoda enthusiast drive day...
I should have bought a Land Rover. Damn.

Dirt roads in my RS weren't fun when we went to the Turon Valley for a weekend away... I mean it could do it just fine, but it was so awkward because of all the things hitting the undercarriage and dad suddenly flooring it a few times to make sure the ESP was 'still working'...

Can we put mudflaps on without them scraping on an RS...I'd like to look into it. Our 6 has the little slim plastic ones and they would be enough.

My last Car was a 6 and they are great for keeping the areas just behind the wheels from getting aall the stone chips and the tar from the paintwork - if anyone locates some can they post up and as woofy says can they be fitted.

I've never bought a car that I wouldn't take down a dirt road. I just need some mudflaps in this case

Besides, the VRS has a nice progressive slide

Wooses, I took my RS over on the ferry to Comerong Island and down the track marked 4WD access only. Only problem was removing sticks and grass that started to smoulder on the hot exhaust.
