I saw one in the Sydney Eastern Suburbs a couple of weeks ago. Funny since it is a concrete jungle there.

The Scout is on the NSW State Gov't list of "approved vehicles" but restricted to Emergency Services. None of the 2WD stuff is on the list.Originally posted by BlackSuperb View PostLooks like Skoda has sold one to the NSW government. Spotted an anthracite Superb driving down Adelaide Terrace in Perth yesterday. They may be 3 hours behind us in the west but they are catching up. Did somebody mention daylight saving?

Our local dealer also got some Fabia in stock. Nice little car, more room than expected.
However, the fit and finish of the material inside seemed a little bit "cheap". Compared to a 77TSI Golf, even though less equipt, it seemed to use higher quality material than the Fabia. A bit disappointed....
Does anyone else feel the same?

Of course it does, it's a car that ranges from $10k to $20k in Europe whereas the Golf starts around $20k and goes right up to $60k for the Golf R, so of course it's cheaper. It's also older. It disappoints me too, particularly because the standard isn't as high as an Octavia which starts at $25k. But the Polo and Fabia are the only superminis to have soft-touch dashboards whereas the small hatch market, it's pretty much standard fare.Originally posted by VAG newbie View PostHowever, the fit and finish of the material inside seemed a little bit "cheap". The worst part of the Fabia for me are the interior doorhandles - they're black, plasticky and just crap...Mine: Silver 2006 Volkswagen Golf Sportline 2.0FSI 6M (with a sunroof)

I don't want to boast (OK, just a little bit) but last weekend I was in Prague. That place is seriously 'Skoda city'. The fleet of new Superb taxis was a welcome sight at the airport, but every second car in the whole city Skoda - of varying ages. It was certainly a welcome sight for a fan like me. Interestingly, the RS model is not big there, and I only saw two metallic blue RS models in the whole weekend.
Don't ask... I didn't make it to the Skoda museum as it was just a little bit to far away.
The Swiss railway system has a fleet of nice white Octavia wagons. It's really good to travel by train on a weekend and see 20 odd Skodas all neatly parked at the major stations.MY15 Octavia Scout TDI135 Moon White Tech Pack Panoramic Sunroof Polar wheels
