If more people wouldn't like the convenience of that they have the Skoda spotted thread in their section, I could move it to the section where it belongs and almost every other VAG models owners post Spotted .Originally posted by K1W1 View PostAnd apparently every single Skoda post must either be in the model specific section or in General so IMO this should be in General under those rules.

It is in every Skoda subsection, also some other threads were moved, so they're not missed, but as I said if you don't like the idea or see it as a waste of the space on the page, we can move it to where it belongs.Originally posted by dArK5HaD0w View Postany reason why this thread is under the "Roomster and Yeti" section?Last edited by Transporter; 16-03-2011, 06:31 PM.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

Wohoo!
My first Skoda sighting since joining up. A brand new purple Superb TDI Wagon spotted in Pakington Street Geelong. The guy just picked it up from the dealer around the corner and was a very happy man. I asked why him the purple and he replied "I doubt that anybody else in Australia would be brave enough to go with Purple and the wife wouldn't let me have Storm Blue" lol.
It looked ok, but definitely not the colour for me!

I have come to the conclusion that Bulimba is the centre of the skoda universe in Brisbane. Not a day goes by now without seeing at least one driving around. I have spotted about 5 different Superb wagons getting around the place. There a few octavia sedans as well. I saw a black octavia rs sedan parked in stuart street last week that had rear panel damage. It looked they had reversed into a pole. There was also a white roomster in oxford street 2 days ago.Skoda Octavia RS Wagon TSI DSG Candy White MY10

I always find it ironic when cars with rear parking sensors show obvious pole reversing damage.....apart from using common sense and knowing it was there or not there, at which point in the screaming beeps did they not pick up there was a pole there.Originally posted by Scanners View PostI have come to the conclusion that Bulimba is the centre of the skoda universe in Brisbane. Sometimes they just don't pickup the obstacle. My missus sideswiped a pole in her Outlander. Reverse beeper didn't go off & the pole was in the blindspot.
On a similar note, I was driving in torrential rain yesterday between Gosford & Sydney. Visibility was down to about 30m. The number of cars driving without lights was unbelievable. I think it was because they all had their Auto/tunnel lights on & it wasn't dark enough to trigger the sensor.
Also, Lane Departure warning seems to make you look at the instrument display rather than the road & Advanced Cruise Control is simply wrong for Australian road rules/conditions/speed limits.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic
I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

I had that same rain around Richmond and the M7 too. I had my rear fog on as I could only see the lights of the car in front on and some idiot in a grey Rav4 behind me with only parkers on flashed me for having them on. Needless to say I kept it on... And my god the cruise control is good!Originally posted by brad View PostOn a similar note, I was driving in torrential rain yesterday between Gosford & Sydney. Visibility was down to about 30m. I should have also added Brad that the ones I have seen, the pole indent is right where a sensor is, or right beside it. I think people must assume its playing up for low poles and ignore it.
I can't help it, I always laugh when I see big pole indents in rear bumpers.

A white Octavia RS wagon and a green Octavia wagon spotted driving down Latrobe Terrace in Geelong after 5pm on Friday. I must admit that the white looks quite good on the Octavia wagon.
