I think the days of this thread being a sticky are past. When it was started it would have been very rare to see a Skoda on the road now whilst they are not common it not unusual for many people to see Skodas regularly and sometimes several a day in many of the major eastern cities.
Black RS near Brisbane Entertainment centre on Wednesday.
Grey TSI Octy Wagon (Hire care) Caboolture Thursday.
Could not believe I saw 2 Skodas in one week!
Big Day on the Skoda "Optic Nerve" as I went out and did my Christmas Shopping.
Driving from Maitland to Newcastle saw a Race Blue VRS Liftback, and also a Black VRS Liftback. (Not sure of the correct paint name for the Black)
Later, I saw near Strathfield Kotara a Brilliant Silver VRS Wagon with roof racks. It wasn't the Wife, cause I had just sighted her earlier and she doesn't have roof racks. (Lol)
Fairly sure it wasn't Dazag, as it appeared to be a female driver, and the car was in need of a wash.
At least 3 Silver VRS Wagons in Newcastle then.....cool.....
I think I may have another neighbor with a Skoda - this time the same model/colour as mine. It was parked just off Concord Rd near the Homebush Bay Drive intersection. I am not sure if it is the same one that is always parked near Barnwell Park golf course, Five Dock. I will have to start taking more notice of number plates!
I also followed a blue RS wagon from Ryde to Homebush Bay Drive yesterday afternoon (again, possibly the same one?).
2015 MY16 Brilliant Silver Octavia vRS Wagon TDI DSG with Tech Pack, 19" black pack, pano roof and auto tailgate

Yeah it may have been forum member "MJD" who lives in Redhead i think, he has a MY10 Silver VRS Wagon .
Mine is currently in the shed about 2/3 the way through being clay barred, polished & waxed, and it's coming up nice too. Wanted to get it looking sweet before i start videoing it for my concept ad Also the wife drives it just as much as I do, so you could see her cruising around in it.
But i have to take it into Kotara ( Altapac) for roof racks tomorrow, getting prorack whisper bars fitted. Also am booking it into Ashley at Audi/Skoda service centre for a wheel alignment just after Xmas - thinking the right rear camber is slightly out.
Looks like Skoda is doing some sales in the Newcastle area then if we're spotting a few more these days Good to see
What are you using for wax & polish? Is your car white?
Ill do mine at xmas in port stephens. Just got a heap of Poorboys stuff. White Diamond Glaze, EX-P sealant & White Natty’s wax. Should come up looking good.

Car is bright silver ( metallic ). I'm using what i previously had in the shed ( Meguires - clay bars, paint cleaner & polish , with Mothers premium canuba Hard wax ) although looking to buy some good quality dodo juice for the next polish/wax ( Lime prime lite pre wax cleaner & Supernatural Canuba wax - one of the VW forum members runs a detailing business - http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/products/dodo_juice and he gives forum members a discount).
even though the car is 16 months old, spends most of it's non-drive time parked in the garage and only has 20K kms on it, it still needed a clay bar and you notice the difference.
Will post some pics up once I finish doing it.
Where ya holidaying in Port Stephens??
Maybe should see if anyone in the newcastle area wants to meet up in at the Newcastle foreshore and have a BBQ at the rail sheds there..........
