I haven't heard of this Garlock ECU remap before, where can I find info on it? What gains are found on a totally stock ABF? Or is it a waste of time with out exhaust / intake cam etc

This is like a secret chip. Hardly anyone speaking English have tested them but search google and do some translating and it will reveal some info. In short I'm buying it on spec, no idea if its going to do much but am considering a dyno beforehand and after to get some real numbers and more tuning data.

Our car has stock exhaust but allegedly dual KR exhaust cams, and I've put an adjustable cam gear on for advance.

H&R from Germany. Comes in comfort 30mm drop or Sport 50mm drop. Budget around $700 shipped.

Not bad for a half cocked tune effort on a little 2.0 NA engine.

New o2 sensor and fuel filter helped. The fuel filter was full of crap and the o2 sensor was a bit on the not looking ever to have been replaced side of new so the butt dyno has claimed an increase in hp, now to see if it improves economy and drivability as well.

ECU EPROM due before end of month also.

I love the fact such a cheap car, with relatively low performance, can give so much reward. All the small things that make up the whole really count in this build.

Absolutely - I'm with you there

I love the 16V engine - have not seen the suspension but I assume it's early VAG?

If I could find one I would probably grab it and follow your lead

Brakes are on. HE'LL braided lines, grooved discs and mintex pads.

Rear suspension is in, front struts need some new bits before bolting them all back in tomorrow! Yippee!

Seems a shame to torture those lovely brake rotors - should be fun however

Cup kit fitted. Managed to snag the front lip already.

Brakes certainly bedded in but a wheel alignment is required.
