So the hunt for rims continues. I'm going to post on the buying section... I need 16", 45 offset.
Looking for a new project! PM if you have a Golf Mk2 in need of some TLC.

On 12 month suspension for enjoying my Ibiza GTI too much... 2 months left!

hey buddy, i have 17's and they do rub. but only when mates in the back or carrying luggage or record bags lol. and also when i hit a pot hole other than that normally ok.

You could heat up the back guards and roll them, i am aiming to do this at some stage as my mate bought a device for it. If i could borrow it off him and your keen i could bring it up and we could do it to your rear guards.

otherwise oz racing wheels 16" used to be the wheels from "Seat's" website back in the day when i was inquiring.

AMG Australia for the last 20 years have been importing and distributing the world’s finest brand of wheels such as OZ Racing, and BBS

friends website from Tassie might be handy.

        hope that helps.

Well if that's the case, I might have a think about it... I would probably roll my guards if I choose to go with 17", if you could let me know when and if you get hold of that device that would be great!

          Cheers!

On my drive home tonight, the trip computer will show 200km. Which indicates my brakes have been run in and are ready for some fun!

Anyone interested in a drive on Sunday? I'm hoping to go to Buttermans Track!

HI, they look like these ones, http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=bo...w=1280&bih=827 exactly the same apart from mine are csa not bob jane brand, ob jane told me that 16 x 7. wide do not exist, but mine are 16 x 7.5 csa and the only difference is the centre cap, im after $240 for the set, 2 tyres are ok the other 2 are worn out but they will be too high for the seat as they are 205/50/16

Paintballing is great fun! People who haven't done it before, just don't understand why the bruises are worth it!

Well I'm going to Bendigo instead to take a peak at daves rims! The roof will be wrapped tomorrow, I forgot to say we bought the wrong size first time around. So I have some spare gloss black wrap if anyone wants some. And I'm getting the exhaust looked tomorrow morning... Then a polish up and photos!

Im pretty sure the specs should be stamped in the wheels?
yeah checked for the stamped sizes but couldn't see any. this makes me think they may not be genuine TSW but if not they are a bloody good copy right down to the indented badges.

does anyone know if you measure rim to rim or barrel to barrel to get did. they deffo don't look like 17's, i'll put them against the 17's on my car to compare.

Black roof! The wrap was a pain to place but looks so good once done. Here is a little tip for those planning on doing the same thing, cut the paper which covers the adhesive in half. Allowing you to lay one half down at a time, spray a small amount of soapy water down to help you lift it back up if needed. Lay the whole half down and then work on removing the bubbles bit by bit, then once you have most of the big bubbles out. Get a hair dryer and just go over the rest, try and dry the soapy water underneath to make it stick better and quicker. We just used a cloth and the rubber side of the window cleaner to push the bubbles out and smooth it off.

I also bought rims finally! Thanks again Dave! They are brilliant, I cleaned them up and they came out like new!

These photos are before I cleaned them up.

If you're still up in the air about coilovers, I've got a set of FK AKs under my Polo GTI and they're not too bad. Firm, but I wouldn't say rough or uncomfortable. Landed them brand new for just shy of $400 inc postage.

I'm not looking at coilovers right now. Next pay is dedicated to tires so I can get those rims on. I'll see how badly they effect the ride comfort, if it could be a little stiffer I'll probably end up looking at coilovers in detail.
