Does anyone know where I could get one of these lips from?

I've looked all over ebay, no luck

Thats a Cupra lip. I have funny feeling it wont fit on your car as the Cupra runs the face lift smooth one piece bumper.

That's a shame I really do like the look of that lip.

Just a quick update, I'm currently having issues with it not starting, or dropping out randomly. I've already looked at the ECU Relay, ignition Coil. The spark plugs are looking a little dodgy, but I doubt that is causing the issue, I'll check the fuel pump and fuel filter on the weekend... Fingers crossed!

              Further update....

Fuel is present, but no spark at the plugs. Already ruled out the ignition coil (tried a known working coil). Will replace the plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm tomorrow, and see if that gets it started.

OK, to be more specific with the problem we have, car just turns over, and will not fire up. It did fire up once, but died within a minute. When it was running, it was a bit lumpy.

Now, the thing is, it was fine until we took it to the jet wash and gave the engine bay a quick clean. I thought maybe there is some water somewhere, but that was a week ago, so any water would have evaporated by now. Also, once we got it started after the jet wash (which was a struggle) it ran fine and started fine, until the next day when it just cut out whilst driving. And this is where we are now.

We have a fully functional Mk3 Golf 2.0 GL we can use to swap parts around with, so hopefully don't have to waste too much cash replacing parts that are not actually faulty.

If anyone else can give any pointers on things to check/try, please let us know.

              Thanks

well after spending most of the day trying to fault find the cause, we finally got success. There was an old alarm and immobiliser fitted (which was no longer being used) that had some ageing connections to the wiring loom under the steering column. When the loom was wiggled, the alarm would cheep, so there were some loose wires somewhere. So I stripped this all out, and hey presto, she fired up.

Annoying it took most of the day to find it, but happy now it is resolved. Sam can now get it rego'd and start doing some of the fun stuff.

After some hard work and stress, we have results and obviously photos!

                  The first of many mornings!

                  Fitted the red stitch boot!

                  Old disks and callipers

                  New disks and callipers

Removed the front tint as it was too dark for Victorias strict rules!

                  She passed road worthy!!!

Next on the list is, smoothing off the front bumper, black wrap on the roof, carbon wrap the wing mirrors, repainting the spoiler, suspension and 16" rims!!

All in due time! Plus, I'm looking into a stereo that has built in GPS.... Anyone know of a decent one that isn't going to blow a massive hole in my wallet?

Here are the parts we bought when trying to fix the ignition! This does not show the ignition coil as that was stolen from my brothers GL.

I also serviced the oil while I was at it. I would highly recommend Penrite with decent spark plugs (WR7LTC+ ), she runs like new!

If you are ever bored and looking for some Seat inspiration check out Seatcupra.net or Ibizaoc.com both awsome amounts of Seat content. There is also SSS (Secret Seat Society) but mostly newer Leon's etc.

So I was playing around on photoshop today and I had a thought... What would the Ibiza GTI look like with a Mk4 Golf R32 bumper?

Turns out bloody amazing! I'm seriously going to look into getting a replica fabricated to suit...

hey matey . your done a bit of work. i have a red one too. 95ibiza-gti fun little car. but its now my second car. it was so hard to have it as my main car, and wiat for hard to find parts to appear. apparently the ibiza gti always had a problem with idle, mine came good after new points new sparks and new leads and new pump. pretty much all the things you have done. also make sure you change that timing belt before you break it last thing you want on that.

have you had your clutch cable seize up and stiffing till it breaks. i have bought a spare every 1.5 yrs just in case. also i find my ignition coil fails every 3.5 years espically if your doing night driving. i did a night job.

i am hoping to eithe rdo the eibach springs or find cheap coilovers some where. then work on cleaning engine bay, and may even rework the engine at some stage. new rings pistons port and polish and of course a cam if i can find one. be good to meet u. )
                                blazin the beats
